I just picked this watch up after realizing I didn't want to wear my Tag watch everyday... go figure. I got this watch because it fits in with my job, military pilot... after comparing all the other similar watches on the market I chose this one. It's comfortable, stong, and it looks great. The coolest feature is the ECO Drive... it's got a battery meter on the dial to show how much charge you have. It's pretty cool when you take the watch out of the case if you put it away for a while it goes into some sort of power saving mode when it's in pitch black and when the light hits it again the dials spin around to catch up to the current time... kinda cool and it lets you know this is really a high tech time piece! The other features on it take a little while to get used to. I love the time zone features and that this has the look of an analog watch with all the features of a digital watch. Haven't had a chance to use the bezel yet... more of a novelty than anything else I think... however it gives the watch a unique look and distinguishes it from a lot of other watches... if you're comparing it to other watches like it, with the bezels and all. I would definately go for this one. I picked black because it's a little different than my other watches and because I prefered a black watch in what I wear to work. Just pick what color you like best, there's a few different looks to choose from. The black is really good looking though. It's got the competition beat in features, value, appearance, comfort... you name it, this watch is best in class! You won't be disappointed!

I purchased this watch about a month ago and still have to show it to people when they see it. Everybody always asks where i got it from. This watch has plenty of bells and whistles and i use most of them. If your a pilot or in the military like i am youll apreciate having UTC displayed on the dial so you dont have to calculate anything. This is a great watch and i would recommend it to anyone who is interested.

I got this watch two months ago and it was exactly what I was looking for. It has all of the bells and whistles and easy to maneuver. It's my first Citizen eco-drive and probably won't be my last. I have two Oakley's, GMT and Detonator, and a Rolex Submariner. I saw this watch around Christmas and no retail store in the area carried them. Still don't! Price was great since I don't do retail.

I love this watch. Great features and the quality appears to be first class. It looks more expensive than it actually is. I have many watches and most with so many things on the face are difficult to read in low light but the contrast on this watch is great. The GMT and slide rule is perfect for us pilots. It is a large and heavy watch but is very comfortable and never having to change a battery makes it worth it.
br /I gave it a four out of five for some very minor problems. The crown is difficult to pull out without taking it off and when it is turned there is a little "tick" feel rather than a satisfying "click" you would expect from a watch of this quality. Secondly, the volume of the alarm is a little low making it hard to hear anywhere except a quite room. This might be attributed to many hours behind the prop.
br /Even knowing this I would purchase this watch again without question.

I replaced my old (10 years) Citizen Skyhawk watch with this one. I had to replace the battery every 3 years or so. The last time, the watch shop screwed it up. So, I was familiar with the way this watch works. It does not have a light (niether did th old one) so it's tough to see the digital portion at night or in a darkend area. If you are a pilot, or in the aviation industry and use UTC time, this watch comes in very handy as there is a dial on the face that tracks UTC time. It's slightly heavier than the older versions, but I figure that's due to the Eco-Drive. Overall, I am very pleased with it.

I was looking for a watch for travel.
br /One that didn't look too casual, but not too expensive.
br /This watch was what I was looking for.
br /Nice functions and looks.
br /The only problem is that you have to go to a jeweler in order for it to be fitted, they should provide a do-it-yourself tool.

My brother and sister in-law bought this watch for me. I had mentioned to them that I was looking for a sporty time piece and what I was shown was way out of my price range. Having the great brother and sister in-law that I do they surprised me with it for my birthday. The features are just incredible. Once you figure out the bezel tools you can pretty much calculate any aviation problem you might have. The looks of this watch are perfect for casual or dress up. Being retired military I still enjoy playing around with the different time zone features. Had I had this watch while in the military it would have helped out greatly. I recommend this watch to everyone that is looking for a sporty yet nice looking watch. The eco drive is a great plus also. I can't thank my brother and sister in-law enough for getting me such a great present. This will be with me for a very long time. Thanks again Dan and Amy I love it.

I love this watch. feels good too not to have to worry about the battery going out or having to shake my arm to get it going. Ive already been through some bumps and scrapes but the finish is still looking like new. I was afraid the black finish would rub off or something but like I was hoping its still all black.

i purchased this item for my husband for Christmas. He has been wanting a Skyhawk for a few years now, being prior military. I read previous reviews from other customers, some whom were not as happy and more that were. My husband is COMPLETELY happy with this watch! Everything that it said it was is 100% accurate!! The seller was timely in shipping and everything was perfect. I would highly rate this watch and anyone interested in this item will not be dissatisfied!!!!!!!!!

This is a great watch. Its got a seizable heft to it and feels high quality. It looks great and has plenty of features. I only have two problems with it. First, the LED screens are hard to see (the newer skyhawks with atomic timing have backlight screens). The second problem is that the watch is very painful to wear, as it plucks out arm hairs between the watch links as it moves around your wrist. I have not had this problem with watched that lack interlocking links (the kind that have a band that will go flat, and not hold an oval shape, when placed on the band). For this reason alone, I give it a 4 out of 5. But buy it if you don't have arm hair.

I really like this watch. I'm not a pilot, but I do travel across time zones frequently. Being able to quickly swap time zones or being able to scroll through all those TZs quickly makes this watch perfect for me.
br /
br /I also must admit, I just really enjoy looking at the watch.
br /
br /Eco-Drive
br /The Eco-Drive feature attracted me primarily. Nothings worse than traveling and looking down at your wrist to see a dead watch. Simple enough to change the battery, right? When you're busy it can stay dead for weeks until I get around to replacing it especially if you need a jeweler. I'm looking forward to years of use without changing the battery.
br /
br /The Looks:
br /Like I said earlier I like looking at it. It's got a lot of functions but doesn't look nerdy. From a distance it looks like a nice black watch. It goes well with most of what I'm wearing.
br /
br /So Far:
br /I've only had it for a month or so, so complaints about fading or scratching from other users have yet to affect me though I'm not someone who's got a good history of being careful with things. Maybe I'm lucky.
br /
br /Band:
br /The only downside is having to take it to a jeweler to have the band adjusted. I sometimes like to wear the watch higher up on my arm when typing on my laptop or doing technical work. I had him adjust it loose for this purpose. It took me a while to get used to having a loose watch near my wrist but it's OK now. I suppose I could always get a black rubber band like I have on my Swiss Army watch. Not a big deal.

After reading the reviews here I was sold on this watch, and I was not led astray. This watch has a great look and is very heavy duty as the links closely resemble tank tread in there design.
If you are looking for a Tough, Elegant, Multi-Function, Black Watch for the price you can't go wrong.
I have already sold two of my friends at work on this watch.

I purchased my Black Eagle this summer, from the moment I opened the box I knew that I was going to like this watch. I have been collecting watches all my life, I have every one I ever owned still, regardless of value. This Black Eagle is a very high quality timepiece in every detail, features, accuracy, understated elegance and finish. It's clearly a rugged watch, and now one of my very favorites. I have Rolex, Movado, Wittnauer, Breitling, Sieko, and many others; the Black Eagle is my second favorite. The only watch I like even more is my new black Citizen ECO-DRIVE Skyhawk A-T, the flagship in Eco drive watches. Yes, there's enough capability in that watch to launch the shuttle!
br /
br /I highly recommend both watches, but the Eagle is a little smaller, and little less expensive.

It's a year now since I got this watch. The only mistake I made about it was getting the plastic band instead of the metal one. Saved $50 when buying the watch, but ended up paying $100 for the metal band...
br /I travel a bit and find this watch extremely convenient for going through the time zones. Takes out the hassle of going back to DST.
br /Great visibility at night, a cool watch. Beats all other watches I've had from Casio through Seiko and Omega.

I had been looking for a sporty watch with a black metal case and bracelet. I was looking for something different from the sea of silver watches.
br /
br /I've had a Casio G-Shock for a couple of years, a tough, practical watch to be sure. I wanted to get something a little more classy. This is a substantial watch, with a good range of features and a clear, well laid out display. Being an aviator watch, there is a lot of stuff on the face, but it works for me.

Bought this on Amazon for $285 off the almost $500 msrp. Meaning this is a very high quality watch that uses expected Japanese craftsmanship to elevate it to the level of a Tag Heur for 3x more. I was looking for a watch that had the feel of a Swiss Army but the looks of a stealth bomber. This is what I found. I was expecting multi-function to mean chronograph and maybe calendar; I actually got a pilot's watch with global time, 3 alarms, and a timer in addition to the aforementioned. The watch is slightly on the heavy side but built like a tank. The nicest feature imo is the solar-powered capability. For a college student, this watch breaks the crowd of Fossils and other inferior brands and withstands day-to-day use like none other. The LCD display has improved but not enough like say an Armitron. Other than that, no complaints.
Great watch, nice price!
