br /This is a very classy dress watch at a very reasonable price. The stainless steel band is accented by semi-circles to complement the distinct Movado motif. The butterfly clasp completely hides the beginning/end of the bracelet. This clean look is finished with a scratchproof sapphire face and rhodium dot to signify the 12-o-clock mark.

br /I get complimented on this watch all the time, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for one. As with all Movados, if you have trouble reading an analog dial, much less a numberless face, this watch is not for you.

This watch is much more beautiful in person than on the picture. It is elegant, but not thin/petite, like most Movado watches, so it is perfect for a guy with a bigger wrist, but not a huge wrist. I bought it for my husband who is 6'2", 200 lbs, and it is just perfect. Let me give you the real measurements of the watch, as I could not really find accurate measurements anywhere:

Before I purchased it, I went to the Movado site and a department store to see if it was really as nice as it looked. I was very impressed on how stylish it was. My boyfriend said he would have picked out the same one. We both loved how it has the half circles on the band. Very impressive; highly recommend.

Purchased both the men's and women's Luno. Had to return the mens due to a faulty clasp after bringing it to a jeweler to have the band shortened. Strange that Movado would let a watch leave the factory with such an obvious defect.

I think the Movado Luna Mens watch is the best deal here in Amazon. I searched all over for this watch and you cant beat the price. It's worth it. I wanted to get something special for my boyfriend this Christmas and I do have to say it was breath taking from the moment you open the box it looks beautiful. Just got my Movado Luno. It's easy to read despite lack of numbers. Feels nice and look great. The instructions included are very sparse and mostly irrelevant. Different movado watch types are listed and how to wind them up. I didn't really see the Luno described but I just set the time and the watch started up without any fanfare. Not much else to say. Looks very classy; hopefully the expensive swiss parts inside will keep going for a long time.

I ordered 2 movado watches for my son to choose from for his birthday, the Luno and Juro. He chose the Luno because it is a really great looking watch and somewhat unique with the "moon shapes" on the band. The juro was a nice watch also, but didn't have that extra something. It looked ordinary. The luno has a larger watch face, which I thought might be too big, but it wasn't. My son turned 18 and loves his new watch!

I am at ease because it is obviously authentic, has a warranty and the crew at Movado were so knowledgeable and helpful with all my questions about every watch in the store.
br / I am definitely happy with my purchase...even more so that is was two hundred dollars less then I originally planned. They offered me the woman's version for the same price to give to my girlfriend. I might have to go back and buy it, knowing her birthday is in two weeks and Christmas is around the corner.

First of all, I actually got the silver dial version (which is a sliver cheaper), but Amazon isn't allowing me to review that one for some reason. Other than the color of the dial, it's the exact same watch as this one shown.

br /Reliability is also a big plus with Movado. I have a wind-up Movado pocketwach from 1905, and it keeps better time than a Seiko I had a few years ago. Generally, if you take care of your Movado, it will last for a very, very long time. The Luno looks to be no exception to this rule.

br /Movado this the right thing with the choice of crystal. The Luno's sapphire crystal is a must have for something this pricey. Expect this crystal to be in great shape 50 years from now when it's time for you to pass this down to your son.

br /The band is the bomb . . . almost. Obviously, the unique draw to the Luno series is the half-moon design. At least that's why I bought it vs. the other models. The butterfly clasp design conceals the latch mechanism for that continuous look, though their fedora "M" logo is acid etched on the last link. So why is the band only almost the bomb? It's heavy, and it's a bit too easy to scratch. I guess that's what you get with stainless steel though. I'm wondering if a titanium band would have done a better job dropping the weight and improving on the hardness.

br /All of this for under $1000. I love that Movado is on the low-end of the high-end watches. For $409 (what I paid), this watch is more stylish and gets more compliments than Rolex, Omega, Longines, you name it. It keeps time just as accurately, and it draws just the appropriate amount of attention in the board room.

br /I haven't been able to find any compelling deals on watches between the $500-$1000 mark, keeping in mind that this watch is ~$450. If you have a budget to stay under $1000 for a watch, then buy two of these.

I purchased this item about 6 months ago and am very pleased. At the time I began to search for a watch I knew I wanted something attractive without going so far over the top that it could only be worn in a rap video. I narrowed it down to the smaller oyster rolex models or this model from movado and ultimately made my decision due to the museum dial which is very subtle and dignified. If you think you need to tell what time it is in three different countries at once or officiate an olympic race this model and most other movados may not be the best option for you although if you specifically want a basic timepiece without a lot of distracting extras this is the one you want. One aspect that comes through in person is the continual nature of the clasp which isn't apparent in the photos. The watch is also very comfortable and not excessively heavy. I had to have one repair so far but am still giving the item a five-star rating since even though I went through Amazon, the local Movado store sent it in and covered it under the warranty without making me go through any beaurocracy.

From the moment you open the box, the beauty of the watch jumps out at you. It's a definite headturner and feels sturdy with a good weight to it. I get compliments all the time about how great it looks. Excellent buy at Amazon. It's cheaper here than Ebay, overstock and any place you could buy it local.

It manages to look exceptionally bold, while at the same time exceptionally refined. The other reviewers writing about smudges are incorrect, for me atleast, it barely smudges. When it does it is easily whiped off with a shirt sleeve.
