Built with simplicity in mind, the Basilica II features a classic three-hand movement with a quick-set date complication powered by a premium Swiss quartz engine. And while the overall look of the Basilica II is eminent, the most dramatic aspect is the unique cathedral-style crystal! Made of KrysternaTM for strength and durability, this one-of-kind crystal is domed and custom cut with half-moon facets that give the appearance of side arches like that of an ancient cathedral. The cutting-edge distinctive design of the crystal forms a perfect frame for the unusual grouping of the medieval Arabic numerals on both sides of the aisle. The LuminovaTM filled old-fashioned leaf-style hands make an immaculate consummation to the assembly inside. My first Stuhrling Original watch and I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. This watch is best described as a "piece of art". I own several Invicta's, a few Croton's and a couple Timex's (for working in the yard and camping) but this watch top's them all in shear artistic beauty . . . oh, and it keeps great time too. I purchased it during a promotion for an additional $20.00 off at check-out and that made it a excellent deal. Thanks Amazon!

I needed something to replace my old cheap black watch and decided to take a chance on this Stuhrling. I am SO glad I did. It is big, but I like substantial watches and this was exactly what I wanted. It was billed on another website as a ladies' watch, and amazon doesn't seem to specify. However, I think it must be a mens or watch, as my wrist is not particularly tiny and I have to wear it on one of the two smallest/tightest strap holes. The numbers and hands glow in the dark, which I love. With the second hand and date function, it has everything I need. I wasn't sure about what the crystal would look like based on the item description, but it just has a nice curvature. It isn't big or domed like I thought it might be. I've tried to add better pictures of the crystal and the side view.

br /It looks like a really expensive watch, but the price is infinitely more reasonable than plenty of others I looked at. Overall I am quite pleased.

This was a nice watch, but it was advertised as a child's size watch. The face of this watch was larger that any watch I currently own, so it was way too big for a child. The return process was took a very long time and I had to email several time to get my refund. It seemed as if Amazon wanted to keep my money as long as possible.
