The movement is a 20-jewel mechanical automatic, a simple three hand movement with the crown offset between the two and three two oclock position. The parts of the movement have been skeletonized and hand-engraved for extra panache. The textured dial on what remains of the off-center cut-out is vintage Stührling Original dial-work to the point that the beauty of the dial rivals the beauty of the movement which dominates this timepiece. The step-design round case (40mm) is constructed of solid 316L surgical stainless steel and has Krysterna crystals (front and back) and with its screw-in case back, is 50 meters water resistant. The watch is mounted on a genuine black leather strap with a lizard embossed finish. The beauty and technical achievement of the Delphi far exceeds its reasonable price tag. I bought this watch for the aesthetics -- I like the look of skeleton watches and on that score it rates as topnotch. It is easy to see (and watch) the movement inside and the design is--as its picture suggests--quite stunning.

br /It has 2 flaws that keep it from being perfect. The first is that since the hands are gold colored as well as the background, it is sometimes hard to read the time. This is a not a watch with which you can surreptitiously glance at the time. But I've learned the angle to hold it at so it's not as much of a challenge, but in low light it can be a problem. They could easily fix it by making the hand slightly darker. It's second flaw is it gains time slightly-- maybe a minute a day.

I bought this watch about a year ago and it has since died. I love skeleton watches, and initially this watch seemed perfect. However if I relied on the automatic self-winding it lost minutes a day. Eventually I took to winding it, but it continued to be off regularly. Now it doesn't keep time at all. I am digging up the warranty...

Wanted a skeleton watch but was hesitant about unknown companies. Researched Sturhling and found them to be a quality manufacturer so ordered this watch. It is everything I wanted! Superb quality, warranty and the price was unbelievable. Would order it again. No disappointments here. . . .

Amazed with this watch. Gave it as a gift but wanted to keep it for myself. Keeps good time for an automatic and really fun to watch time go by. Quality better then I expected. Almost bought it at another vender but found it here for $50 less. I think I will put one on my Christmas list.
