I received this watch as a Christmas present in 2004 - and I have not had a single issue with it. In fact, I have yet to replace a battery!

br /As others have mentioned the watch is very lightweight. This is important to me since I really dislike wearing watches - however - the Seiko titanium is so lightweight that I hardly notice that I have it on my wrist.

br /Other Positives-

br /- Keeps great time. I have never had to adjust the time other than the obvious reasons (time zone changes and such)
br /- Titanium is even more chemical resistant that stainless steel. Therefore, unless you decide to stick you wrist in hydrofluoric acid (Which would cause you bigger issues than your watch band dissolving) you are pretty safe.... unless you work "in" methanol. Titanium can crack if it is directly exposed to very dry (95% pure) methanol. Again - this would not effect 99.99% of potential consumers. There are many, many more chemicals that will attack stainless steel, aluminum, leather and rubber.

br /Slight Negatives-

br /- I have scratched the watch face. In fact, a couple of the scratches are rather deep.
br /- I have mixed feelings on self-illuminating hands. They can be helpful, but can detract from the watches looks.

br / Final verdict - This is the best watch that I have owned.

Very light weight, appropriately sized, not too gaudy or flashy, accurate so far, reasonably priced - pretty much everything I was after in a watch.

I bought this about 5 years ago to have as an every day watch that would look nice. I never had a waterproof watch before, so this has been great! I wear it playing ultimate and sailing. If it gets sweaty, just run it under water and dry it off! Has a few scratches, but still looks great.

I have had this watch for over 5 years now. It is so incredibly lightweight that sometimes I forget I'm wearing it.

Of all the watches I have owned this is by far the best watch. I've owned it for at least 3+ years. It's light weight and it's tough as nails. It has taken a lot of abuse and it still keeps accurate time. I'm simply amazed. When I bought the watch it cost me over $300 has been well worth it. This one is a definitely a keeper.

This really is good-looking watch. Unlike other bracelet watches I have had, this one does not snag the hair on my arm. The face is slightly smaller than most standard mens watches, which makes a good fit for me because I'm thin. The matte color and dark gray face give a very tasteful look that works for just about any occasion, either dressy or casual.
br /I liked this watch so much that when I lost the original one I replaced it with the exact model. (I bought the original about 3 years ago in a department store for about $240.)

I've had this watch for roughly 7 years now, and while I absolutely love the look and feel of the watch, I have had to take it to the repair shop at least 5 times over the past 3 or 4 years.

br /I wear this watch every day, and have taken it in the water and hot tob with me. The markers (1-12) have continuously popped out, and I have needed to take it to the shop to have them glued back in place (usually under $10).

br /I plan to buy a second watch to have just in case this happens as I hate being without a watch.

I bought this for my husband a couple of Xmas ago and it is still going. It is very light weight and not too bulky. I was looking for a reasonably sized watch because his wrist is not big. This one fits perfectly. Still haven't changed the battery.

It is a very light weight watch, looks great and is great for every day use. It is casual looking but can be worn for any occasion. Not showy at all.

Having worn a leather strap watch for several years, I grew frustrated with having to repeatedly replace the strap. Looking for a light weight watch with a metal band, I landed on the this titanium Seiko watch. It is a great product that looks terrific and never requires replacing the band. I have been using this watch daily for the past two years and have been very satisfied with the purchase. I would be quite surprised if one purchased this watch and did not share similar thoughts.

I do not own this watch but tried it on at a Macy's store and just wanted to help a fellow watch shopper here. This watch looks fantastic and has the most great feel on your hand. Very light, needless to say, and very classy, elegant looking. The bracelet is particularly remarkable, with that fine, just-complex-enough pattern. They looked, however, disappointingly small on my hand! (I am a 6'1" male). So, just something to consider. This is a very popular watch, should be easy to find on a mall to try on.

I bought this watch a few months ago during my honeymoon. I lo0oked at alot of watches, and decided I wanted something classy, but not large and gaudy like most other watches out there. Titanium was the way to go!

br /The watch looks great and is extremely light - it almost feels like plastic. The only complaint I have about it (and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5) is because the hour/minute/second hands are really thin. If you're in a low-light situation, it's difficult to read, and even in daylight it can be tough.

br /Other than that, it's a great watch.

I love this watch - had it for about 7 or 8 years now and have never had any problems. After showing it off to my Dad, he went out and bought the exact same model. I really love timepieces, and would like to buy a nice new watch, but I can't find anything (for less than several thousand) that I like as much as this.

br /Sometimes I really miss glowing watch dials! Seems like an oversight that the $300 model on Amazon Seiko Wrist Watches-Seiko Le Grand Sport Titanium Men's Watch SLC033 seems to have fixed. But with this model that I am currently reviewing you simply *cannot* read the time in the dark. I wish I had bought the $300 model.

Thw watch is great!! However, one big problem, the dials were suppose to light up in the dark and they do not work! We are also not sure how to get a replacement one that does work. Other than that, it was a great watch and a great purchase!

Just be aware that the perpetual calendar may not be so perpetual after all. After 3 years the calendar in my watch didn't increment the date a couple of days. So I was off by a few days. Then it incremented the date by more than one count.

I received this amazing watch 2 days after placing order here. It is new and seems wonderful. How could I express my love for it? It is made by Titanium which make it never fade I think. And it is adjustable so it can fit my slim wrist.

I could not get the stars to be selected. I would give the watch a 4/5 stars with lack of luminiscent hands as main problem.

br /I was looking for a replacement for my inexpensive watch that i lost recently. I wanted a watch that was water resistant, light weight and reliable. I have an old sieko kinetic watch that I decided to not repair and bought this watch instead. It is a good looking watch, with a locking titanium bracelet band which is light weight and attractive. I wear the watch even in the shower every morning and appreciate its water resistant quality. my one compaint is not having luminescent hands to see the time in the dark. the band is very comfortable and nice looking and it does not pull on arm hairs etc. I am hoping the locking fold over clasp will hold up over time but since i dont take the watch off much, I expect it will. van
