I just bought this watch and have to say that it more beautiful than the picture shows. It is rose gold and iridescent mother-of-pearl. The time-keeping is impeccable. However, it is a rather large watch with a thick band and may not look good on small-boned women.

This watch is far prettier in person than is it on the computer screen!! It's a good size, very different from any other watch I've had and I just LOVE it!! The rose tone gives it just a slight twist on appearance, the mother of pearl is also beautiful. Very good quality for the money, and I will keep my eye out for others made by Stuhrling. WOW!!

br / I purchased this watch for my wife's birthday. She loved it at first, however, after just three weeks the plating on the watch started to rub off! In case you are wondering why there are so many good reviews for this watch, the manufacturer offers an extended warranty for a good review. My guess is there are a lot of unhappy customers but they had already posted a good review.

So far the watch has been great. Easy to read, looks great. It's a little thicker than I expected, but that is the only negative; and a minor one at that. I love not having a battery to replace. Self winding movements are great.

This is a lovely watch...with it's dome crystal and mother-of-pearl around the chapter ring..the skeletonized movement in rose-tone is exquisite! My only suggestion is that it is small...I like larger watcher, but folks who like a smaller size will love this watch!

I was looking long hard for a woman's skeleton automatic watch, and was overjoyed when I found this one. It is a fabulous everyday watch; I definitely wanted something without "bling", so it would have a more timeless quality to it, this watch completely delivers. It's also wonderful to have a watch that doesn't have a battery; being an automatic watch necessitates it being a little thicker than most watches, but the watch is all in good proportion; I love wearing it and looking at it, and wear it almost every day.

This watch is better when you have it on your hands. Am SUPER happy with it!

I don't like watches with batteries; I can feel the energy in an uncomfortable way. I prefer mechanical watches, self-winding if possible. A couple of years ago finding them was no easy task unless one wanted to spend a fortune on collectibles or risk buying something used.

br /This week I decided to give it another try and boy have things have changed. I had quite a few choices. I wound up at trusty old amazon.com and I spotted this Stuhrling. It seemed perfect, except that I had been hoping for rose gold. I read the reviews and voila! it is rose gold. (Amazon ought to specify that on its site.) I couldn't put it in my cart fast enough.

br /Now it's here and it's even better than I anticipated. It combines vintage elements in a way that looks modern. Perhaps timeless is a better word.

br /While I usually don't wear watches as large as 1.5 inches in diameter, this one is not overwhelming. My middle aged eyes are very very happy with how well I can see the dial, even from afar. And the kid in me loves to watch the gears move.

br /I can't speak to durability yet, but it seems to keep good time. Since I figured that the winder ought to have been jostled plenty in transit, I decided not to wind it. I just set it and put it on. 24 hours later, time is still correct to the minute.

br /By me, so far this puppy is a winner. It'll be on my wrist most days, I'm sure, and I'll recommend it to other friends who want to go mechanical. By the way today I noticed that it comes in yellow gold too, for those who prefer it.

I purchased this watch in March '08 and it was lovely. It worked fine, and I enjoy watching the gears. However, 9 months after I bought it I found it had stopped because a screw came loose within the watch. Some metal pieces also came loose, getting in the way of the mechanism and breaking the watch further. I do not recommend this watch if you want one that will last.

This Stuhrling watch has an elegant, professional look that is appropriate for the business environment but would suit any casual setting as well. The see-through case that allows a view of the inner mechanism makes it interesting to look at. The large numerals make telling the time easy, especially for my aging eyes. So far, it has kept the time very accurately. Be aware that you have to wind the watch each time you put it on, but that's not a major inconvenience. I highly recommend this watch.
