GOOD RUGGED WATCH

When I first got this I was kind of put off by the band. It is velcro. After wearing it about a month I've come to appreciate the velcro as it allows for good adjustment. The dial is nice, with fairly large, brown numerals on a tan background. The illuminator works great. The plastic face cover isn't scratched yet even after a few accidental knocks against it.
Nice outdoorsy looking watch

I really love this watch. It's not shiny and fancy and the the front of the casing is brown and black plastic but it has a really nice rustic look and feel to it. The way it has 'Forester' across the top is pretty cool looking too. It shows the date too and it also lights up in a nice glowing green by pressing a wide button on the side. The band is velcro which makes for easy fitting. If you're looking for a nice inexpensive, yet somewhat unusual, watch that's good for outdoor activity or even just to wear all the time, try this one.

I love the natural look of this watch--the brown leather and tan canvas give this watch a very sporty appeal. My husband doesn't like it on me--too masculine. I poo-poo that comment. It's a great face has the added bonus of date illumination.

I've had one for several years and decided to order a couple more (hopefully a lifetime supply). I've worn it while bicycling, doing landscape work, construction, etc. It's just a great basic watch! Not a fancy-looking watch that you would wear to formal occasions, and it does not have alarms, moon phase, or other fancy features, but it's an unbeatable everyday watch.

The watch is comfortable and looks better than in the picture. It is the perfect watch to wear when it might be damaged but you still want something that stills looks good. I do alot of shop work but deal with customers at times when working in the shop and I feel this watch fits the billfor this. And price is right and keeps good time.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend. He wanted an inexpensive watch to wear for work. He did not want a metal expansion band nor a leather band. This watch was PERFECT. It has a Velcro closing. He is very pleased with the watch I was pleased with the price.
Great watch.

Inexpensive, velcro wristband allows for easy adjustment even on us guys with large wrists, long-lasting battery. I do miss having the day of the week showing. I bought mine at Wal-Mart over 1 year ago, and very happy with it. Very water resistant as well.
A functional, inexpensive watch for work and casual wear.

This is my second Casio Forester Electro-Luminescent Watch. I use it for work. I gave my first one to my son who promptly lost it. I bought a number of other watches in the meantime but they either proved hard to clean or I was worried about them getting too banged up. So, I came back to the Forester.

br /Pros:
br /Inexpensive! The price takes the worry out of wearing. Rugged enough for most outdoor or messy work. Easily set. Velcro band also adjusts easily. While not "fancy" it looks good enough for any casual situation.
br /
br /ALSO: The number and hands are large enough, and have enough color contrast enough with the face, for easy reading. This is a big deal for me since with most watches I need my glasses to see what time it is.
br /
br /Cons: Not many. The Forester has, like most watches, that little band that goes around the strap so that the loose end of the other strap can slip under. Well, it's almost impossible to slide Velcro and why would you need the little band anyway since the Velcro holds the strap flat.
br /
br /A functional, inexpensive watch for work and casual wear. The Forester is also a great starter watch for that young one that is either bugging you for a watch or is old enough to get with the program. Hey, for this price how can you go wrong?

This is a descent little watch. I got it because I needed something cheap that wasn't going to break, and if it did, it wouldn't really matter. This has served it's purpose.

I bough this watch nearly 3 years ago and it still looks pretty good. I have been on a lot of construction jobs and been in the lake swimming and have even gotten a complement on it's looks in a store checkout line.

Nice light weight watch comfortable to wear. Back light extremely helpful; easy to tell time in the dark. Watch has all the features I wanted: date, white face, military time, back light canvass strap. Happy with purchase. I'm in construction so it's a great everyday watch to wear to work in lieu of wearing your Rolex. LOL, who needs a Rolex when the return on this is so much more at a great price. Did I mention affordable?

I like the watch even though the case is obviously plastic except for the backing plate. The bigger issue is the band. I like the colors of the band as depicted in the picture, (khaki strap with brown leather accents). But because it is an adjustable velcro fastener, there is a strip of black velcro sewn over the entire length of the weaved khaki strap on one side so half of the watchband (the half that I always see when I wear it) is a piece of black velcro loops. You can just barely see it at the bottom of the picture. I do like the very readable face and the backlit feature is handy in the dark. OK overall but I'll be looking for a better band.
Good watch but easy be scratched!
