Loving the look of the Rolex Daytona, I spotted this watch on Amazon and just had to have one (at the price).
br /Arrived in a well padded display box, with all parts of the watch and strap covered in a protective plastic - so no scratches.
br /Taking out a few links for that custom fit just took a couple of minutes.
br /The watch looks great - better than the images on the Web - and it works as described.
br /Other posters that have had issues should read the manual! It does all of the chrono functions, and has full adjustments for hand alignment etc. - Fantastic!

This watch is a very nice timepiece. The only disappointing thing is that Amazon is selling a watch that they know nothing about. The watch has a Japanese Chronograph movement, not a swiss-quartz. And the band does not come with a double-locking deployment buckle like it says, it comes with a double-locking diver buckle. Overall I am pleased with the watch. I just hope Amazon can advertise their products a little bit better.

First off a few things about me. I own a Rolex Submariner and a Tag Heuer chronograph. I bought this watch because the Tag died after 10 years and I hate wearing the Rolex everyday. I own a construction company and I sometimes find myself in areas that I should not be wearing an $8500 watch in. I wanted something that was close in appearance to the Rolex but wouldn't worry about scratching. I liked what other reviewers said about this watch. And the fact that it was a Daytona knock-off was a plus.
br /
br /I received this watch today, and it makes a great first impression. It has heft and weight and looks great. The packaging is fantastic. Really a first class package. However when I started setting the time and checking the operation of the chronograph, I could tell this was a cheap watch. While turning the stem it just felt cheap. Like if I got bumped while doing this the stem would break off in my hand. I also felt the detent for the date adjust was weak. It took me a few attempts pulling the stem in and out to get it to "engage" the date adjustment. I also could not get the chronograph to work properly. It would not allow Intermediate timing. And yes I read the manual, several times. That was another complaint. The manual is a generic manual applicable to ALL Invicta watches. Not a big deal, but if you're spending what they appear to be spending on packaging, how hard would it be to have a manual tailored to a specific type (chronograph) rather than every watch you make?
br /
br /Regardless, I gave it 4 stars because it fit the bill for what I was looking for at a price you couldn't buy a Seiko for. Perhaps if I had spent another $100 or so and gotten the same watch with the swiss movement (this one is Japanese) I would have been even more impressed.

When I ordered this watch I was expecting to get exactly what I paid for....a $95 watch, but what I received far surpassed my expectations. First, the box it came in was ginormous and well protected. Seriously you could have fit 3 or 4 of these watches in that thing, and it included a suede or suede-like polishing cloth as well.
br /
br /The watch itself was covered in a clear protective film which was easily removed. Upon inspection the first thing I noticed was the face and how it has a very detailed raised background which adds a lot of class to the watch. An additional nice feature is the screw down crown which allows you to "lock" down the dials without worrying about water getting into the watch through the adjustment shafts. Invicta didn't overlook the details here, and it shows.
br /
br /A quick review of the included guide and I had the second hand adjusted to the 12 o'clock position and it was ready to go. I did have to remove a few links to get it to the proper size, but it was a straightforward process even without the proper tool. If you are unsure how this process works or are nervous that you might scratch the watch, you can purchase a pin removal tool right here on Amazon for about $15 which would surely make the job much easier.
br /
br / A week later and it hasn't lost any measurable amount of time, so it appears that it is doing exactly what it was designed to do. This watch does use a Japanese movement (indicated by the micro-printing on the face which reads "Japan Movt" at the 6 o'clock position), but the modern Japanese movements are on par with anything the Swiss can make, and in some cases are arguably better - although they don't carry the same veneration as being able to say you have a "Swiss watch".
br /
br /Admittedly the second hand isn't as smooth as a $3500 watch and it doesn't "sweep" like a Rolex....but honestly what do you expect for around $100? I'm guessing about 99% of the average citizen would have no clue if this was a $100 watch or a $3500 watch - and I'm not about to spend a few extra thousand just to have the name Rolex glued to the face. They both tell time, only this one comes with the added feature of a fat wallet as well.
br /
br /The stopwatch function is nice, but honestly isn't that valuable. It might be neat to watch the second hand swing back up to 12 when you reset it, but with the exception of testing a speedometer I doubt it would be precise enough for much else. I won't use any of the chronograph functions, but again I believe they add a touch of class to the watch and make it look much more expensive than it is.
br /
br /The fit and finish as extremely good, and even though I have worn it every day since it arrived and haven't exactly been gentle thus far there isn't a scratch to be found anywhere on the face or even the band. The clasp itself is more of a brushed stainless material which is appreciated since it is the part which comes into contact with hard surfaces most often, and it should be somewhat resistant to scratching.
br /
br /If I have any complaints at all it would be the embossed "INVICTA" found on the 9 o'clock side of the watch. It isn't that noticeable when worn, but it seems a little representative of a Seiko or Timex....could have done without it. The Invicta logo on the face is very tasteful and well done - not distracting from the rest of the face at all.
br /
br /All things considered I wouldn't hesitate for a second to purchase another Invicta, and assuming this watch stands up to my usage over the next year or two I most likely will add to my collection. This particular model is nice enough to be worn in a business or formal event but also can be worn with jeans and t-shirts.
br /
br /The watch itself is a little beefier than what I was coming from, but it hasn't bothered me thus far and even though I have smaller wrists I don't believe it looks too big. However, if you are looking for more of a streamlined timepiece or something which is thin - you won't appreciate the bulkiness of a chronograph or this model in particular.

I'm a sucker for chronograph and if u're like me... then u're probably not going to part with $10K of your money to go for a Rolex Dytona Chronograph. The Invicta 9211 is as good as it comes in this class.

Have owned the Invicta Speedway for a while. In short, it is more about style than actual functionality:
br /
br /1. The hours subdial is not part of timer, it only shows the 24-hr version of the actual time. Say, if it is 9:35pm, then the hand in the hours subdial will point to 21. So it doesn't keep track of the time elapsed and there is no way you can "reset" it.
br /
br /2. As usual the Invicta watch suffers from misalignment in the dial and subdials. So the minute subdial is almost useless: There is no way you can exactly tell between like 3 and 4 minute or between 12 and 13 minutes.
br /
br /If you really want a chronograph combined with style, choose the Seiko Men's Tachymeter, the blue one for eye-catching, while the black one for masculine.

In therms of look and price, this watch is hard to beat, is simply stunning
br /As another reviewer pointed, the Chronograph isn't well implemented (but alas, it works) and the second hand that usually one would expect to tick to the second is kept static.
br /Overlooking those parts, the watch does it best giving time/date and looking good.
br /will keep on using it definitely

After reading all the reviews online I decided to purchase this watch. That was almost a month ago and so far I am very happy with it. It keeps very accurate time (it is a quartz after all) and it looks great. The chronograph, however, doesn't work the way it's supposed to (according to the manual, when you reset it, all three subdials are supposed to go to the 12 o'clock position but only one of them does. The other two are pretty much useless). I kind of expected for that to be the case after having read the reviews on amazon so it wasn't a huge surprise and I decided to just keep the watch for the looks. I gave it 4 stars because the watch came with a label that said "list price $355" and for that price I would except a fully functional chronograph. Another thing I don't like with this watch is the fact that the second hand always stays in the 12 o'clock position. Sure, you can start the chronograph and that will make it start ticking but the user manual says this watch is not designed to have the large second hand ticking all the time (personally I prefer a sweeping second hand, but this is not an automatic watch). In conclusion, if you're after a good looking watch that keeps accurate time, you'll probably like this watch. If you're after a chronograph, you'll probably want to go for something a little more expensive. Hope this helps.
Looks good, runs great. If you can overlook the details, its a keeper.

The watch looks great and has a good heft to it. The look of a chronograph really sticks out from other watches, and the price is hard to beat on this one. It also seems that Amazon is being serious about the list price. When I received the watch, the band had a price sticker for $350, and you can get it here for under $120.
br /
br /It doesn't get 5 stars because of small issues with the details. First, the manual is not great. It's sufficient, and you can figure everything out, but its just not well written or well organized.
br /
br /The second hand started out off center. This is easy to fix though to get the alignment of all the dials to the correct starting positions.
br /
br /However, the second hand does not align well with the tick marks around the watch. If you are a perfectionist, this may bother you to no end. If you never use the stopwatch feature, you may never care.
br /
br /If you are buying this watch for the looks, its a good buy. It's stylish and keeps time well. If you want a proper chronograph, you may want to look elsewhere.

This is my second Invicta watch, and I am pleased once again. For $116 (on 6 May 08, but the price has gone up a little) this is a very handsome watch. As with all Invictas with the brushed outer and polished inner band, be careful if you wear your watch at the computer as the polished center portion is easily scratched.
br /
br /As far as the actual chronograph function goes, I cannot imagine that too many people would be buying a watch like this if they were serious about timing events.

I recieved this watch 6 days after I ordered it which was what I thought relatively fast. It came in a very nice box. Upon inspection of the watch, it seemed heavy but well made. The movement was very smooth although not as smooth as more expensive watches. The face looked very classy with a rather large face (this seems to be the style of late). For the price of the watch it appears to be a well made and looks like a much more expensive piece. I have received alot of compliments on it and had three friends order other invicta watches upon seeing mine. I would definately recommend this watch!

Ok, now a Rolex is a Rolex. So if you want one you gonna have'ta come up with the cash. If you want to have people think that you own one, then this is the one you want. As for the watch I have to agree with most of the reviews that it looks much better than the picture, and it is heavy. The Chronograph though does not work. I tried it so many times but I never got it to adjust like the manual says. I do have to agree with the reviews before me too about if looks matters with you, then this is it, because the Cronos are worthless. I can't give it a 5 star because it is not fully functional like it claimed, but I just can't get my self to drop it to a 3 star cause it sure feels like a Dytona ;)

I recieved this watch as a gift several months ago. The watch is very nice looking, much better looking in person. Mine hasn't had any issues with timekeeping, it's been very accurate. I haven't experienced the problems others have.
br /
br /The face of the watch is nearly impossible to scratch. There's been several times where I've accidently rubbed the face against a wall or other surface only to find no damage, much to my surprise. Other watches I've had scratch within the first week. I've had this watch for about 6 months and have no face scratches (although around the face and on the band show many scratches, not nearly as annoying as a scratch right on the face). I'm serious, I like to party and the face is still scratchless. This is very surprising to me.
br /
br /The chronograph functions are almost entirely useless, but who cares. A stopwatch without fractions of a second is not worth using, but with this watch the features are more for looks, and they look great. I don't find this to be a big deal since I would rather not have digital functions on my watch, they look tacky in my opinion. Also my cell phone has a great stop watch funtion which I use for 12 ounce beer chug time trials making this complaint almost inconsiquential.
br /
br /The movement of the watch leaves a little to be desired. The japaneese movement is somewhat jumpy. At this price you really can't expect an automatic movement however. This is really the biggest weak point of the watch and if you have a bunch of cash burning a hole in your pocket, maybe you should get a swiss automatic movement watch. This is a somewhat minor issue given almost all watches in this price range use japanees movements no normal person will ever know the difference.
br /
br /This watch is about the same price as a cheap fossil watch but when you see it in person it feels and looks much more expensive. The fit and finish is much more than you would expect for $115. I find it to be a great value. The box it comes in is so nice you don't want to throw it away, I still have mine. I wear this watch every day I still recieve compliments on it.

This is a somewhat minor issue given almost all watches in this price range use japanees movements no normal person will ever know the difference.

br /This watch is about the same price as a cheap fossil watch but when you see it in person it feels and looks much more expensive. The fit and finish is much more than you would expect for $115. I find it to be a great value. The box it comes in is so nice you don't want to throw it away, I still have mine. I wear this watch every day I still recieve compliments on it.
A great deal from Amazon!

My Invicta Speedway Chronograph S Watch arrived Friday, several days before I anticipated its delivery and, though not highly relevant, I was impressed with the way it had been packed.
br /
br /I like the watch very much. The bracelet fitted perfectly and the watch took minimal set up time. I read the manual and everything works as I expected it to.
br /
br /The luminous hands have a lot more glow than previous watches I've owned and the watch looks expensive... which is precisely why I bought it!
br /
br /It's a bargain at Amazon's $120 price.

Very pleased with this watch. Had a Citizen and a couple of other watches over the years. This one will outlast them all and you can feel the quality.

I was in the need for a solid, good looking metal watch and I chose the Invicta 9211... This watch does look great in person and feels real solid and has alot of details from the dial of the watch, the band to even the back of the watch and locking clasp... Invicta just makes a solid watch, and this particular model looks like a very expensive piece... Nice heavy feel to it and a scratch resistant face really helps because im a little clumsy lol... If your in the market for a low cost watch with some style... you have found it!!
Excellent watch for the price

This is a cool watch for the price it is sold at. I have a few fossils, a few siekos and a kenneth Cole - all in the 100 dollar range. The Invicta is the best of the lot. It is elegant, shows no scratches and catches the eye everytime. Its a class apart from the metal fossils I own. A very good investment!

Nice, simple watch. If you want a watch that you can do anything with it on, this is it. Automatic movement, water proof, keeps time perfect. Not too flashy not too dull, just a good all around every day watch.
Very good looking and works great.

I like chronograph watches and this one is one of my choice, this looks very good and works great. till now no complaints. if you like bit heavy watches to wear then this is correct one, if not then don't go for this one. its dial is simple and looks great with 3 circles(sec clock, 24 hours clock, min clock) in it. i recommand this product to friends.

I bought an Invicta Speedway Chronograph for a great price and have been very happy with my purchase. The watch is heavy enough to feel solid, yet not so heavy as to be a nuisance. The fit and finish is also very nice on this watch and it fits into my collection quite well. I would recommend this watch to any of my friends...

This is just a great watch. It was delivered before the expected date, in a very nice gift box. It works perfectly fine if you do not have to time a space shuttle launch with it. I have no complaints about it yet, it works and fits perfectly. And for whom it might concern; more than once someone asked if I was wearing a Daytona. Best watch in this price catergory, a must have for watch lovers.

I bought this watch from Amazon about two weeks ago and have never been more pleased with a product. I have been asked about the watch everyday since I started wearing it. I am in a professional where people REALLY care about watches (military pilots) and everyone around me has the Tag or Omega or the Breit., but all want to know more about my watch. Very quick shipping, like 6 days or so by the time I ordered it to the time I had it on. Has a nice heavy feel to it and looks GREAT!

br /I fully understand that this is not an "investment timepiece" but for now it is around $100, and looks and feels great.
br /
br /I strongly recommend this watch.

This is a good buy for a well made watch. They are slightly overpriced in retail stores, but Amazon has some of them at the price they should be at.

I love this watch. This is one of the best watches you can buy at this pricepoint. The materials that make up this watch are high grade, and durable. This watch has a classic look to it, it is great as a casual watch, a watch to wear to work or for a night on the town.I highly reccomend this timepiece prior to this purchase I thought that Invictas were cheap look alike watches but my perception has been quickly changed. I think that this is a better or comparable watch in styling and finish than many of the "top brands" out their today. The only downside is that it is not an automatic.

It is pretty shiny and the style is clean. I don't really have any problems for this watch other than the fact that the glass is not sapphire crystal. I have to be extra careful not to scratch it up. Its a good watch though but I only had it for a few days to really tell if its sturdy and keeps time. This is my first invicta watch. None the less it looks good
Great looking watch for those who doesn't want to pay for a Tag Heuer...

Although it looks a lot like a Tag Heuer Aquaracer or Rolex Submariner, the timepiece doesn't cost nearly as much. As such, it makes for a great daily wear. It's thick and heavy, very durable. The stainless bracelet looks awesome and recieves compliments regularly. The clasp is sturdy, the dial is easy to read and clean. The Invicta logo looks like a passing resemblence to Omega, which is also kind of funny. The best part is that unlike other Invicta watches that are huge, embarassing statiums on your wrist, this one is normal size and bery classic.

br /Your friends and family will never have to know you spent only a $120, instead of $700-800.
br /
br /It would be way awesomer if the bezel rotated, but whatever. Not like I'm using the watch to fly a plane. Five star watch.

This is my 2nd Invicta watch but unfortunately lost it in Phi Phi Island while making a dive off the yacht. I bought it after owning the legendary 8926 and was amazed by the quality and the feel for that price. For those who complain about the subdials not working I recommend you read the manual, the 24 hour subdial is suppose to work with the main watch to show you if its day or night just like the GMT watches.

I have to say up front that the picture used in the Speedway collection is not the current 2007 Invicta models. By looking at the photograph, the watch apears to have a bezel with a recessed portion at the outside of the 2-4 clock portion of the watch. The two models I've purchase have a smooth bezel all the way around and look just like the ones do in the 2007 Invicta sales catalogue. This must be an older model and the photo has not been updated. Not a big deal, but I like seeing exactly what I purchase. It could make some buyers feel they have been misled.
br /Invicta's watches rarely disapoint. The Speedway collection is nothing short of a stunning looking watch. It actually glitters on your arm.
br /That said, there are a couple of drawbacks to the chronograph. It's accurate to one-second. There are fifth-of-a-second hash marks along the watch, but the chronograph hand only stops on the seconds. I've got two of these watches, the 9211 and the 9554, both are great looking but aren't super accurate chronographs. It's a Japanese movement 21-jewel automatic, and that's a great, quality movement, but maybe the Swiss movements are more precise. I don't know, but you can't expect to get a $5,000 watch for just $120, plus shipping.
br /There are issues with the crown on the Invicta. The crown serves multiple purposes. It winds the watch up if it is stopped, and is used to change the time and date. But it is delicate and easy to strip out. It's hard to tell if the crown has been moved into the first or second position and if you use too much force, like I did on my 9554, you'll find that you will be having the watch repaired.
br /All in all, this is another great looking watch and decent timepiece that has a functional chronometer.
br /Well worth the price. I imagine it would make a nice gift to somebody also.

This watch looks good but the movement is terrible. I got this watch as a Christmas gift but the 24 hour register was synchronized to the hour hand. I must warn you, if you purchase this watch then don't be suprised if it doesn't work right. It may look like a Rolex but it doesn't work like one.
Not a good choice, despite the low price.Mediocre watch

First of all I would like to mention that the Invicta brand, that exists and produces watches nowadays, has nothing to do with the Swiss company that bears the same name, but went into bankruptcy a few decades ago.The actual Invicta company is an american one and has bought the rights to use this name.
br / The mechanisms are Swiss made or made in Japan.About the ones made in Switzerland I cannot post an opinion. This particular model(9211),which I purchased this year, has a japanese mechanism(Made by Myota I think).Every 24 hours it loses some precious seconds,so,after a few days it becomes a matter of minutes. In conclusion it has a problem with precision, beeing unable to keep time with accuracy.
br / I would advise anyone who wants to buy this watch to think twice.Of course the discount price is attractive but the watch doesn't meet it's expectasions;I consider that a "minimum" dose of accuracy is required. The only good aspect about this watch is it's appearance.
