Description:

Invicta's gold-plated Embossed Diver automatic watch (model 9743) is perfect for the serious diver who also wants to turn heads with a stylish watch. The round stainless steel watch case measures 39.9mm (1.57 inches) and features 23 karat gold plating and a blue unidirectional rotating bezel with gold engraved markings. The champagne dial background features Tritnite luminous dotted dial markers and hands (with seconds hand) and a date function at 3 o'clock. The stainless steel bracelet band mixes brushed and gold-plated polished links. Other features include water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet) and scratch-resistant mineral crystal. p An automatic watch is a mechanical watch that is self-winding. the movement of your wrist and body causes the rotor--a weight attached to an automatic winding mechanism--to wind up the watch. This automatic watch has 21 jewels, which are ruby stones that the gears turn on to protect the metal parts from grinding together. An automatic watch needs no battery, but it will stop if now worn for over a day or if you have been physically inactive for an extended period of time. If this happens, wind the crown ten times clockwise to start the watch and five it some reserve power. p Tritnite is a luminous material with an extended glow exclusively developed by Invicta in Switzerland and added to their timepiece hands and markers. When exposed to regular daylight, it will hold its glow for about 20 hours.

This is my first Invicta watch, and for the money it is unbeatable. I've only owned quartz watches in the past, but decided to give automatics a try, and at this price it's a great place to start. I know coming in that there is no way an automatic watch at any price could match the accuracy of even an inexpensive quarts watch. This watch runs about 3 minutes fast a week. I wear it around 12 hours a day during the week and the watch kept time over night. During the weekend, I'd wear it around 8 hours, and sometimes it stops before the morning. I got used to it, and simply give it a few shakes before going to bed. The watch is extremely well constructed. The face, bracelet, bezel is absolutely flawless. The markings are very precise, and the watch has more than adequate night glow. It is also a surprisingly beautiful watch. I've never gotten so many complements on a watch before. Sounds silly, but I didn't know that this watch resembled a Rolex, and the most annoying thing about this watch is explaining to people that it is not a Rolex. I actually feel kinda embarrassed each time I have to explain to people that I'm wearing a knock off. I may actually stop wearing it for this reason. But if this doesn't bother you, I can't imagine a better watch at 5x the price.

The delivery was fast and I received it in very good conditions. The watch is awesome, the display is totally killing you espeacially during the night and it's very accurate. Because is a diving watch, I already tested in deep water (approx. 100 m) and it's working great.

I bought two of the Men's Invicta's recently from Amazon. Different models but both had very similar characteristics. They look absolutely great. Very solid. They don't run great. Will lose time daily and if you take it off for more than 8-10 hours they stop. You'll end up re-setting date and time a lot with this watch. Major disappointment as my last self-winder would run for a couple days without my wearing it.

This watch is solidly built, looks great, has kept time almost perfectly (within two seconds over 4 months), and has held up well with everyday use. It has a very low gadget-factor which for me is fine. It tells the time and date very well and displays well in the dark, which is all i was looking for. If you want stopwatches, phases of the moon, etc, look elsewhere. Likewise, if you want a super-thin watch to wear with suit and cufflinks, this is probably too heavy for you. Even so, it looks like it cost a lot more than it did, and so far has been a great value.

I was looking for a good looking gold watch for my husband.This Invicta watch is a nice heavy masculine male watch. My husband loved it, especially since you don't have to worry about batteries.

IT DOES BEAR SOME RESEMBLENCE TO A CERTAIN PRICEY SWISS BRAND (WHICH RETAILS FOR AROUND $25,000. FORTUNATELY, YOU WON'T HAVE TO DRAIN OFF YOUR 401-K PLAN TO BUY THIS HANDSOME AUTOMATIC PRO DIVER.

Fast delivery. Looks nice. To address the first comment, it did stopped running the day after I got it, but only because I did not wear long enough on the first day. I've had it for a week and it has been working fine ever since.

I recently purchased this watch to give to my groom on our upcoming wedding day (I don't want him to be late, you know!). So I have yet to find out what the groom thinks of the watch, but I think it is worth five stars. It is a substantial, heavy watch. It looks to be beautifully crafted and even the box that it arrives in is very nice. So far, I am completely satisified with my purchase. Perhaps I will review again once I hear what the groom has to say!

Citizen-Miyota movements are sorely underrated. I own 7 pro divers and have never had a problem. Invicta makes a top of the line product.

I just bought this watch from amazon and the watch has simly impressed my bosses at work as well as the clients I have to deal with everyday. It is inexpensive and I believe the price is quite low for the Rolex like looks and light weight. I am a fan of automatic self wind as well as manual wind watches and this is the third one in my collection of automatic watches. Invicta is really making a good effort in keeping it's quality up and I am hoping to buy more of their products in the future.

I love this watch! For the money, I don't think you will ever find a nicer watch. I have had several comments on it with people thinking at first glance it is a Rolex. I have a friend that has the more expensive Invicta Pro Diver (apx $350 from Amazon) and unless you are looking very close, you can't tell the difference. Since buying this watch, I have purchased another Invicta watch (Invicta Men's Watch #2876) and it is equal in quality, appearance and style. I will be buying a few other Invicta watches based on the quality of the watches I have already purchased.
