I bought this watch for its look and price. Overall, I had been very happy with the look and feel of it for the value. However after just 6 weeks, I have several concerns. First, the clasp on the watch broke without any significant impact. What's frustrating is that I won't send it back because the warranty requires additional shipping and handling charges for this defective part. Another concern is that the watch does run fast (about 5 minutes per week or two). I have had to reset it frequently and cannot use it for work because it is not consistently accurate. Lastly, you must wear it daily or the watch will stop fairly quickly. Overall, it has not lived up to what I expected and I am very dissappointed in the warranty coverage. Any product that is broken this quickly should be fixed without charge or hassle.
Excellent purchase !!

Let me start by saying I am not a diver. I was shopping Amazon for a Tag Heuer 2000 Aquaracer watch just because I liked the look of it when I noticed the Invicta Pro Diver 8926.
br /
br /I was instantly attracted by its very nice look that resembles both the Tag Heuer Aquaracer and the Rolex Submariner but with an incredibly affordable price.
br /
br /After going through the large amount of reviews, most of them favorable I decided to purchase it. Amazon's service was just excelent. I even received my new watch in Madrid a couple of days sooner than initially expected.
br /
br /I have had my new Invicta Pro Diver 8926 for only two weeks now and I haven't noticed any of the flaws reported, especially with regard to the timekeeping accuracy. I haven't been able to detect any time gain / loss and, if it has happened against a more precise quartz watch, it's not noticeable in everyday's life.
br /
br /It is true that the brightness at night of the Tritnite hands and the date cyclops could be improved but yet I wouldn't advise anyone to reject this watch because of these potential areas of improvement.
br /
br /In summary, the Invicta Pro Diver 8926 is a fine time piece at a very nice price that I would recommend to everyone as a great purchase.

I received my 8926 in the mail a few days ago, I wanted to wait to post a review until I had some experience with it. Before I get into the watch, I should note that this is my second Invicta, the first I got a few years ago and it kept terrible time, breaking eventually. However, since I bought it on ebay, I decided to give the company another chance, and I think I am going to be very glad that I did, despite my initial apprehension.
First impressions:
The watch came packaged very nicely, in a stylish yellow box with a pillow, a cleaning cloth, and warranty information.
NOTE: Be sure to get the free 'Platinum Warranty' from Amazon, extends the one year Invicta warranty to five, and all it takes is filling out a form that comes in the box.
The watch was well packaged, covered in plastic and blemish free. It was much heavier than I expected, even after reading other reviews. Perhaps I am not used to steel watches, because I have mainly leather/rubber bands and the metal watches I own are titanium, but in any case, the weight made it feel substantial.
I was able to adjust the band on my own, with no special tools and without scratching the band, a little care and patience is all that is needed. Once I got the fit just right, I put the watch on, and it felt great on my wrist. As some of the other reviews have mentioned, don't expect a big watch. I would characterize this as medium to slightly larger. That being said, it is great, a classy look without being ostentatious.
I personally prefer the Omega style bezel over the rolex coin style. I can't afford a Rolex and I would rather have a subtly different watch than a copy/fake. The bezel is difficult to rotate, but I assume it will get easier with time.
A week in:
The watch still looks great. Granted, it has only been a week, but I have knocked it a couple times and not had a scratch. People who complain about the durability must really beat the heck out of these things. I am a student, not a diver, so those actually using this watch for its intended purpose may have different experiences, but in the ordinary course of wear, it seems like it should hold up fine. And if not, hey, just adds character.
To jump on the bad magnifier bandwagon, the bubble seems to have very limited effect. That being said, you don't really need to see the date on your watch from 5 feet away, so having to hold it a little closer (if for some reason you can't remember the date) isn't the end of the world.
The illumination is average, easily visible but fades quickly. I am enamored of the blue citizen glow material, but this is certainly sufficient
Time keeping:
As everyone knows, automatics are inherently slightly inaccurate and vary from unit to unit. This is a common, well tested Miyota movement, and will probably settle some with time, but so far it seems to be well within an acceptable range. Comparing it to the official time.gov website, the watch has varied between 5-10 seconds a day. The movement seems fairly smooth and quiet, about on par with other watches at the near $100 price point. That being said, I hope it does get a little more consistent, but I can easily live with the variance.
Comparisons:
I own quite a few other watches of similar style and price. This watch, to my admittedly unprofessional eye, seems to be better than the Seiko 5 movement, and about on par with the Vostok automatic movement (I highly recommend that brand of watch by the way, great quality for the price, perhaps even better than Invicta, time will tell). Although not as accurate as Citizen Eco-drive or Seiko Kinetic, it's an automatic watch and I am very happy with the results so far.
I plan to update this review after I come back from vacation, when I will put it to a more serious test in ocean waters. Especially with the current price, anyone considering this watch would be well advised to take the plunge.
Solid accurate watch at a VERY reasonable price.

I've now had this watch for 3 full months, and I wanted to give it at least that much time before submitting a review on the watch.
In the 3 months I've had it, I've been swimming, camping, canoeing, and working around the house. The watch has been banged up, submerged, and worn 24/7 during all sorts of activities.
The crystal is still clear, and unscratched, the bezel still accurate and aligned. The band is getting slightly scratched at the clasp, but that part is rubbing along every surface that I rest my wrist on.
It seems to alternate +/- 1minute, but I've not needed to adjust the watch after the first couple of weeks. The magnification on the date is good, and easy to view. The lumination from the hands does fade after several hours, but during my last camping trip was brightly lit until well after I went to bed.
All in all, this has proven to be a great watch, if you like large dive style watches. Several folks have commented on the looks of the watch, and mistaken it for a much more expensive Swiss type watch. I'm tempted to buy a spare, and lock it in a drawer for the day that I destroy this one in some sort of accident.

I recently purchased my Invicta Pro Diver #8926 and am impressed with what I got for the money. This is a superb dive watch, and I own or have owned over a dozen dive watches, since I started diving in 1975. The dive watch is not the primary piece of equipment that it used to be, since the advent of dive computers, the dive watch has been relegated to the role of back up piece of equipment. However, most divers that I know wear one, and the Invicta Automatic Pro is an excellent choice. It keeps reasonably accurate time. The Miyota 21 jewel movement is a reliable workhorse that has proven itself over time. This watch has all the necessary features required by a dive watch- 20 atm case, one way ratcheted bezel, all stainless steel, etc. It looks fantastic, like it should be way more expensive. The only drawback, is that the stainless steel bracelet won't fit over a 6 mm wetsuit sleeve. I suppose that you could get a rubber, urethane, or velcro band at a dive shop. Oh well, when diving in cold water I will use a Casio G-Shock which is wrapped around my console. All in all, the Invicta Automatic Pro Diver S2 Watch #8926 is a beautiful watch, feels good, looks great, and is certainly well made.

I should qualify myself first. I am a Platinum Pro 5000 diver - one who has in excess of 5,000 dives. I also have an affinity for watches. My dive watches include a Rolex Submariner and a Rolex Sea Dweller. This Invicta is quite similar to the above Rolex watches (I hate to say it). I left this watch at the bottom of a 170' reef in Bonaire for 6 days and it held strong. I find the dial, hands and Cyclops rather easy to read. The bezel is a bit hard to turn, but I don't often use it anyway - that's why we have dive computers and god-given memory.
I really like the watch - it has a good feel and the crystal is very clear. I paid $112.00 for my first one, and sold it to an island local divemaster. I am now buying a replacement.
Although I'll still dive with my Rolex, I'll treasure this watch with the classics!

I have the older style with the coin bezel, but all the 'guts' are the same. This is my first watch that isnt a $20 Casio special. I really love the look of it (and the looks I get!). My only gripe is that about once a week, I have to move the time back about 5 mins. I dont know if I move too much and am overwinding the mechanism or just got a bad one, but thats my only gripe. Also, I did have the saftey clasp come loose a few times, but with a gentle squeeze I've managed to bend it back into proper shape.

Before buying the Invicta Pro Diver Automatic, I read all the reviews that I could find. Some said that the band seemed cheaply made. Some said the crystal was easily scratched, but overall most people liked the watch. I've had the watch for two weeks and I've worn it daily, except for two days when I wore a dress watch. The band seems firm, heavy and solid. No complaints there. The crystal has been knocked against a few objects during that time and there is no mark at all. The watch itself is very attractive and seems well built. It keeps perfect time. It did run down and stop during the couple of days that I didn't wear it, but it was no problem to quickly reset it and give it a couple of shakes for power the next day. I am very pleased with this watch and I do not hesitate to recommend it to others. I haven't had the chance to test the performance under water yet.

Good auto watch for the price. I own a few Auto Tags that our a little more substantial, but this is not bad as a daily beater. Looks great for the price. They could make the band a little sturdier. My only complaint is that the crystal is very soft. With normal, gentle use, it was scratched within the first week of use. They really need to upgrade the crystal, and they would have a great everyday watch!

I was looking for another watch to wear that was functional and in a diver style that wasn't too expensive. I did read all the reviews and was a little worried about this watch, although I have another Invicta that I purchased from Amazon and am completely happy with.
br /
br /I was amazed at the weight and feel of the watch when it arrived. It is hefty, without being heavy. It looks great on the arm and I had the band adjusted without any problems. I have been wearing it now on a constant basis for about a month and haven't had any problems. It does run a little fast....about 10 seconds a week. That isn't a problem for most people, and is in line with every other automatic watch I have ever owned.
br /
br /My only real issue with the watch is the inability to stop the second hand to set the exact time. That, and the fact that the bezel is very hard to turn, are reasons to drop one star from this product's rating. I am, however, totally satisfied with the watch and will be buying more from Invicta in the future.

I bought this watch back in January, and wanted to get some use out of it before I reviewed it.
Overall, this is a good every day watch; no major problems or complaints with it so far. It's heavy solid stainless that has kept pretty accurate time when it's been kept running (more on that below).
There are a couple of items that kept me from giving this five stars. First, the reserve power of the automatic movement leaves something to be desired. If you don't wear this watch for a significant time *every day*, there isn't enough reserve to keep it running. I guess for the price I shouldn't expect more, but it's enough of an inconvenience to me that I can't let it go.
Second, there's the issue of the little magnifying window over the date. It's glued on top of the crystal, which means that there's always dirt surrounding the edges, and only some detail work with a cotton swab or toothbrush can get it out. Again, not a big deal, the magnifier doesn't really make the date appear any bigger, and so is only an inconvenience with no benefit. I guess it gives this watch a more "Rolexy" look.
Finally, I've managed to put a few scratches in the bracelet; I didn't let this affect my rating, as any stainless bracelet is prone to scratches. Using a good polishing cloth usually shines this watch up nicely, and the scratches become less noticeable.

Excellent watch for the money. Keeps perfect time and is a very good looking rugged watch. As with all automatic watches, you must wear it at least 10 to 12 hours a day to keep it wound, otherwise it is a bit of a bother to reset date and time.

I bought this watch as a gift, and my brother really loved it. He's never owned an automatic watch before, so he was endlessly entertained by the window in the back which makes the movement visible (to be fair, my brother is very easily entertained... he does like Adam Sandler movies). Everything about this watch is great, it's big, but not comically big, it has a great weight to it, so that it feels like a really expensive piece.
For some reason though, the price is constantly going up and down.
When I bought it the price was in the low $80 range, as of now it's $94, but I've seen it dip down into the 70's. So, if you're buying this watch, and you can afford to wait a few months, keep checking and you could save 20% or more.

I was looking at buying my first "nice" watch when I stumbled onto the Invicta 8926. I thought I'd take a chance on a $100 watch before dropping a few thousand dollars on luxury watch from Breitling, Omega, Tag, or Rolex.
br /
br /I was pretty impressed with the Invicta out of the box. It "borrows" design elements from the Rolex Submariner and the Omega Seamaster lines. Looks like an expensive watch - solid materials / put together well. Similar to Seamaster or Submariner watches, it looks great with jeans at a BBQ or with a suit at the office (Seamaster is the James Bond watch). It has a Japanese movement instead of a Swiss movement, but it is still an automatic.
br /
br /I haven't had any problems with the watch. Gains a few seconds a day but not out of the range of the more expensive brands I was considering. Some of the other reviews here have reported gains or losses of 20 seconds a day so it may be luck of the draw. Stays wound for good amount of time. I haven't had to wind it since I got it. Wear it most days but sometimes don't wear it on a Saturday. Has a nice lume but not the level expected from a $3,000 watch.
br /
br /Overall, a very nice watch for the price. If you will be annoyed by sneers from the Rolex/Omega crowd or you want to impress with the brand name on your wrist, you might want to save up. If you just want a quality watch, you've found it.

I just received my Invicta Pro Automatic Diver Watch, #8926, and I love it. For $99.00 you can't go wrong with this watch. The Miyota 21 Jewel movement so far is proving to be very accurate without need of regulating, and should prove to be quite robust. The watch is very attractive, taking design traits from classic dive watches such as Rolex and Omega have made.
br /
br /Regarding size, I have relatively narrow wrists, and the watch does not look too large while wearing it, nor is it too heavy. Most of my watches are lighter weight, but this one doesn't feel heavy while wearing. The lume is ok, probably in the league with typical low-priced watches (not a big deal for me-might be if you find yourself out at night a lot or want to know what time it is at 3:00 am).
br /
br /I've read reviews where some were discussing the change to the Omega-styled bezel from the coin-styled bezel, and I have to say I prefer the Omega-style. The bezel seems to move fairly easily with one hand while wearing, so it's definitely not hard to move-doesn't seem like the coin style would make a difference, and for 16 bucks more.

I ordered this with $4.98 shipping late Friday night, the arrival was estimated from between 7 and 9 days, but I was pleasantly surprised when it came in only 5 days (3 business) on Wednesday.
Even when I adjusted the clasp to its smallest, the band dangled like my Aunt's Vegas jewelry. So, I set out Googling all the online help I could. Finally came across a photo lesson on "how to" with the proper tools.
Not having any proper tools, I cut the pointy end off a push pin and held it firmly with Dollar Store needle nose pliers. The first time I slipped, I rammed the pin into my index finger but didn't draw blood. The trick is to line up the pin straight into the hole in the link edge. Links which are removable are marked with an embossed arrow.
I have an average-to-large wrist so I removed one link from each side of the clasp. It helps to remove the spring pin from the clasp first so the band can lay flat while pushing the tiny link pin. When you get the pin to stick out the other side, you can pull it the rest of the way with your pliers. You'll have to push out two pins on two links to remove just one link. Pushing the link pin back to reassemble is much easier and I used the pliers in true Ohio style as a hammer. I just can't stand the thought of paying some tie-wearing snob to do this for me.

I purchased this watch a few weeks ago and finally got a chance to get wet this past week. I did 9 dives (including 4 at over 100 feet) and it performed flawlessly! It's easy to read and keeps excellent time. The bezel works smoothly. The timepiece looks awesome on my wrist. This is no "throw away" watch like the $50-$100 watches you find at the local stores. This is a "real" dive watch that (hopefully) will last a long time.

I bought this watch because I liked its appearance-sort of like a rolex, I like the way divers in general look, even though I don't dive. This watch is literally a legend among watch collectors/buyers etc for its value and quality. The movement while not swiss is excellent especially for the money. I love that its an automatic. Its pretty accurate to. Though the movement is a bit spartan in appearance (you can see it through the back which is nice) the bracelet is quite well made though the clasp is a bit flawed. The luminescence could be brighter. The bright yellow packaging is unique but not particularly awesome or anything. The fact that they used mineral glass means it will be hard to crack but it does scratch easily. After a few months I now have a scratch which is rather large over the date. Its a great beater though which is what I use it for. At $70 its hard to beat.

This is a TIME tested review. I have had this watch over two years wearing everyday in a variety of both casual dress and rugged work environments not to mention the occasional salt water dive. The watch has not stopped in this two year period and requires only time-set adjustment every month or so. For a more formal dress I also have the gold/stainless model with blue face. Also a great watch, kept in a winding box it has not lost time in over three years. For the money this watch seems to be a very good value.

I have been researching Invicta watches for awhile now, and finally purchased the #8926. This is my first automatic diver. I owned it for a little over a week, and so far no problems. Time will tell I suppose. I will commence a new purchase for a Invicta #9938 Swiss automatic soon.
Since I'm a novice at watch collecting, I was very impressed with the 8926. The pictures do not do any justice for the real life quality of this watch. The weight is pretty good compared to my friend's Breitling, and another friend's Rolex Submariner.
I have tested this watch's performance up against a very accurate Digital quartz watch, and it seems to be close within a few tenths. If not worn, the watch usually stops within 24 hrs. From what I gather this is typical for a Miyota movement.
Amazon was quick to deliver. I received the watch in 4 business days. Although there are other watch dealers affiliated with Amazon.com, I only buy from Amazon. The Invicta #9938 is $320.00 from Amazon, while a few other dealers advertised it for less than $300. I prefer to pay the price difference, and go with Amazon. Read some of their feedback.
I will buy a few more Invicta watches from Amazon.

I like the fact that it can be manually wound, unlike my Seiko.
Well built, very well made band, nice looking, keeps good time, for under $100. If you want an automatic without dropping a lot more cash, I don't see how you could go wrong (based on the one I got anyway).

I LOVE this watch. Normally I wouldn't say that about something like this, but this time, it's true. It's amazing. I've done just about everything to it, except diving... I even did a little roofing with it the other day.It keeps pretty good time for an automatic, not as good as a quartz, but who really cares? I get a lot of comments on it too, people notice. That's not why I bought it, but it's nice that they do anyway. I use the bezel all the time too, and it works very well. The face hasn't scratched! Which I can't believe, because I am constantly nocking it on things. The band has picked up a few scratches, but not bad. Power reserve seems more than adequete; I have gone more than a day not wearing it and still have had accurate time. Right now this is my only working watch, It never leaves my arm, unless I'm doing construction. I would highly recommend it, and I even bought it cheaper than the advertised price now. Although, for the value, it should be priced much higher. My next watch will be another Invicta!

There's not much that hasn't already been written about the Invicta 8926. It came up at a sale price on Amazon recently and good reviews were plentiful and easy to find, making the decision to purchase quick and simple.
This watch is widely described as being very good value for money, particularly if it can be had for under $100. This reviewer owns several watches, from classic and costly to near throw-away, and find myself reaching for the Invicta 8926 more often than other watches for day-to-day. As much as any single feature, look, or feel, that simple fact pretty much tells the story.

I have had it a little over a month now, and it is working great, no scratches or marks wearing it every day performing a variety of tasks. I'd say it does run slightly fast, but only by a few seconds a day. This may even out over time.

I have had this watch for just about two weeks. Overall as many others have stated the value of this timepiece is well above what you pay.
br /
br /Is it a Rolex or a TAG no, but it does look good, keeps decent time and people comment asking if it is a more expensive watch...
br /
br /The primary thing for me is that I do not constantly have to fret over whether I should wear it or not. I wear it everywhere and worst case I have only destroyed or lost $100.

What a beautiful watch! I already own a couple of much higher-priced, very nice watches. One, an Oris BC3, is water resistant to 50 meters. But I wanted a watch nice enough for a night out that could take a trip to the bottom of a pool and come back unscathed. I read the reviews and looked at the pictures. At $99 on Amazon, the price was right. As the reviewers have said, this watch is much prettier in person than in the picture and the picture doesn't look bad. For about 1/50th the price of a Submariner, you can buy a solid automatic with a similar look, the same features and, as far as I can tell after a month, an excellent movement. It is a hair fast -- maybe 30 seconds every couple of days, but my regulated Oris deviates by about the same amount in the other direction, so that's par for the course for an automatic movement.
br /
br /The lack of a 'hacking' movement means the second hand doesn't stop while you're setting it, but, again, it's not a chronometer.
br /
br /The strap is easy to adjust. I had a shop remove a couple links, but fine adjustment (about a link's worth) you easily do yourself moving the spring pin back and forwards on the clasp. Very convenient.
br /
br /The 2 common criticisms with this watch are the illuminated dial and the date 'cyclops' (magnifier). I find the dial to be easily read at night with a minute or two of exposure to bright light before dark. It fades over time, but it's readable. Not a Seiko, but not bad. The date is easy enough to read with the cyclops. Again, not as magnified as the Rolex, but close enough. Again, it's quite functional. It has a mineral face, not sapphire, but it's resisted easy scratching. The strap is solid, attractive and comfortable.
br /
br /I was surprised at what a great watch one can get for a hundred bucks. I wear it now more often than the Oris.
I love this watch

This watch is great! It looks great, is sturdy, keeps the time and is totally water proof so 660ft - 200M. I have had no problems with it keeping time and I would buy it again if I needed another dive watch. I work with someone who has a Rolex Submariner and his watch and mine look almost identical.
GREAT WATCH.

I found this after an exhaustive search for a kinetic movement watch. It appealed to me because the price was almost too good to be true. I was suprised that this did not turn out to be one of those situations where you get exactly what you paid for. I have had it a month now and it has been working flawlessly. I read other reviews that site poor manfacturing standards; I can't agree with them. Any mass produced item will have a small number of DOA units shipped. The only thing that I don't like is the magnifier on this watch. It hardly helps at all, in fact it actually obcures the date information at many angles. It is otherwise a handsome watch that has gotten many compliments. I'd recommend it.

I found Invicta Men's Automatic Pro Diver S2 watch while searching the internet for a diving watch. I bought it
for my friend. He loves it! It keeps perfect time, looks real classy, plus, he receives so many compliments on
it. I received a Rolex watch from my family on Xmas! My rolex is beautiful and it keeps perfect time. However, the Invicta costs around four thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine dollars less than the Rolex watch, yet the Invicta has all the same features as the Rolex. It is the second Invicta that I bought for a gift. The Invicta comes in a beautiful yellow watch box with a guarantee! My friends have also bought the Invicta. I am a big consumer, but I am always looking for a bargain. The Invicta S2 is by far one of the best purchases that I have made. Everyone
should try the watch, it is AMAZING, and the price is even more AMAZING.

I like it. For the price it makes a good daily watch and fits large wrists very well. I have a 8-3/4" wrist and it fits perfectly. It's about 42mm wide so if you have large wrists like I do you may wish you had gone with something larger, which is why I recently ordered an Invicta Grand Diver (47mm) as a second watch.
The finish on the 8926 is quite good but I wish the movement were more accurate. I'm used to quartz movements so the 15 second per day variance has taken some getting used to. I was expecting something better. It's not a major thing unless you are a stickler for accuracy. I have no real need for a precision time piece so adjusting it once a week is not actually a big deal.
The bubble magnifier over the date is pretty useless. This has been a major gripe of many Invicta owners, and why it has not been addressed by now is disappointing.
There is no hacking - you can't stop the second hand while setting the time. Since it gains 15 seconds a day there is really no reason to get twisted over the inability to stop it while resetting the watch.
This is my first Invicta and I'm hoping my Grand Diver arrives in one piece and looks as detailed as this one. There have been many discussions about quality issues with Invicta but mine came well packed and in great shape. For the price I didn't expect perfection but I did get what I asked for and wanted.
Great looking watch - especially for the price!!!

i'm an avid customer on amazon, and have been happy with just about every purchase i've made. normally, though, i don't take the time to contribute to the reviews from which i've benefited so much...but this time, i have to take the two minutes to "give back." this watch really is high quality, and for the price?! i got an additional 20% off the already low price of $90, for a ridiculously low $72. i own an heirloom rolex, and though the movement on this isn't as fluid, it's remarkably high quality. oh yeah, for about 1% of the price! it's a little heavy on the wrist, which took me about, oh, 30 seconds to get used to, and now i love feeling it on my wrist. i'm still sorta in disbelief. best $72 i've ever spent.

I had earlier bought a gold Invicta with a blue mother of pearl dial. It was a bit too much major bling for everday wear so I bought this one. The 8926 is a very nice quality knock off of a Rolex Submariner. The bracelet is very nicely done, very solid and attractively finished. The movement is a Japanese self-winding movement. It doesn't allow "hacking", stopping the second hand when the stem is pulled out to precisely set it, unless the watch is somewhat run down. That being said, the watch works quite well. It gains about 1 minute over a month. The Rolex doesn't do that but then the Invicta only cost $89.99, not $4,000+. The Rolex is water resistant to 300 meters and the Invicta "only" to 200 meters. Realistically, even if you were a scuba diver, would you be going down further than almost 700 feet?
All said, this watch is a real bargain for its price. It's very attractive, will be easily mistaken for a much more expensive watch and it never needs a battery. You'll be happy with it.

Looked at several other watches with a similar looking black bezel including the ones from Seiko, Citizen, Sthurling and Orient, and decided on this one. Am I glad I did. The looks are just awesome. Onlt time will tell how good the Miyota automatic movement is but so far it is working great. Will post another review after I have had it for 12 months. Since I could not see this watch at a retail store I went with the Amazon.com reviews and other opinions posted at several watch forums, and this is one internet purchase I do not regret. Again, having looked at several other watches mentioned above at retail stores, I will repeat that this is the one of the most classy looking watches you can buy for this price.

hi i have the gold-plated version of this watch. i like it so much i'm considering getting this one too. the automatic movement is fast at first but after a month or so calms down considerably and is now only off by +/- 5 sec or less per day, which i can easily live with. if i don't wear it for two days it stops, but a couple turns of the screw and i'm back in business. really high quality for the price, all the reviews are right. a looker and a solid performer.
Nice watch for the price. Too much hype over the 8926.

I've been reading a lot about this model, how it's achieved "legendary" status via Internet reviews, and I want to see what all the hype is about so I ordered the 8926 to see for myself.
First, the obvious comparison of this watch is to the Rolex submariner, to which pays homage. When you pay $100 or less for a watch, don't expect to get a Rolex submariner. So I believe that the comparisons should be to other $100 watches not a $5,000 watch. As far as quality goes, there is no comparison to the Rolex submariner, so you can't really fool yourself into thinking that you have a product equal to the submariner. But if you like the look of this watch, which is admittedly quite handsome, you will enjoy wearing it.
The first thing I will comment about is the box that this product came in. This is important it if you plan on giving this item is a gift. The outer cardboard box is cheaply constructed and gives the first impression of a cheap product. The inner box is more substantial, the outside of it being fairly decent appearance, but the inside of the inner box leaves something to be desired. It has a dirty yellow appearance. One nice touch however is that a polishing cloth is included.
Moving on to a the watch itself, I must say this is a handsome rugged looking piece. It appears very sporty and solid. The bracelet is very nice for a watch of this price with the exception of the end links which are hollow rather than solid. The bracelet links are well machined with smooth edges precise tolerances. The clasp could be a little thicker, and it does lack the diver extension for use with a wet suit up.
The oyster case of the watch is finished very nicely in a brushed stainless steel with polished stainless steel sides. One annoying feature is the Invicta name engraved on the left side of the case, although it is less obtrusive than I initially thought it would be. I do like the scalloped edges of the rotating bezel(similar to the Omega SeaMaster), and I actually think this gives the watch a classier look than the old-fashioned coin edge bezel. With regards to the ratcheting mechanism of the be unidirectional bezel, the feel is a little dull and imprecise. The large numbers on the bezel, however, are really quite attractive. With regards to the dial, the hour markers are somewhat small for a watch this size. I would rate the luminosity of the markers and hands as being average. The marker on the secondhand is placed too far out on the hand giving it an unbalanced appearance. The Invicta insignia on the other side of the secondhand although small, is really overdone. The lettering on the watch face is crisp and symmetrical. The magnification factor for the cyclops date window is a little too low. The screw-down crown of the watch is nice and large.
Overall, The watch is decent, not great, for the price. When comparing it to automatic Seiko watches of similar price range it appears comparable in value. In summary, forget the hype, this is a nice handsome watch for a decent price. If you like the look of it, you will probably not be disappointed.

I was unsure about ordering this watch after seeing the prices of the other automatic watches on the market, I thought there must be an issue with it. I was pleasantly surprised when an expensively packaged box showed up at my house. After 3 months, not a day goes by that I don't congratulate myself for making a great purchase.
Lets start with the facts.
The watch is automatic. This means the movement of the watch rotates an internal flywheel and winds the mechanism. This is not for everyone. If you do not wear it then it stops(but no battery to change either). Personally, I love the see-through back and being able to see the mechanism working. (If you are looking for a no hassle watch then I would suggest something from Casio.) If you are looking for a watch with character then you are on the right track here.
When I mention hassle, it is very minor (from my point of view). This watch is not super accurate, (+/- 1 minute per month approx.) which I assume is due to its mechanical nature, but most of my life is not timed down to the nearest second so this is acceptable. When I trade this against not having to replace the battery it is a winner for me. I have to adjust the time about once per month but since I have to do this on some months to change the date then it is not a huge deal. Watching the second hand shows that it doe not move in 1 second increments. I think there are 6 steps per second which gives a more 'expensive' appearance to the watch.
The other thing I have noticed is noise. If I move the watch I can hear the flywheel moving around inside. This (to me) adds character but I could see some people not liking this. Not a lot of noise but it is there.
Now to the opinions.
You can see the face for yourself but in my opinion the look is unclutered and does exactly what you want, tells time. The face is not encumbered with multiple dials or doo dads. Admitedly, I do own a few of those watches and while they are fun this one has a classic quality and will stand the test of time (no pun intended).
Since I am not a professional diver, the 660' (200m) capacity is a little lost on me. I don't even wear it in the shower but it is helpful to know that I could get it wet without damage. The high water resistance does give you a neat feature, which is a screw in adjuster. This, coupled to the other attributes, gives the watch a feeling of good quality. The watch is solid, reliable, automatic and good looking all for under $100 so what more could you want. (Since getting this all my watches will have to be automatic from now on.)
Get it, you will not be disappointed.

have it for 1month keeps good time. the power reserve is up to 10hrs. (i'l try to update this aftr 6months to see how good it keeps time) comes in a very attractive yellow box hard enough to protect the watch inside. the face is just beatifull. looks almost the same as the rolex submariner has the same feel, the same weight. there are only 2 things that i dont like with the watch 1st the magnifier which zooms the date like 15% and the luminous markers are a lil green which makes it look cheap. I love this watch. got it only for 83$ with a free bag. GREAT DEAL! great watch! good bag! :)

The 8926 has gained almost legendary status and it's easy to see why. It would be worth every penny of the $285 list price, so the fact it can be had for less than half of that makes it a no-brainer. There are plenty of of other reviews that go into detail, so I'll just say that you shouldn't hesitate for a second - I can pretty much guarantee you won't find anything else as good for the money.

I got this watch for my boyfriend this Christmas.. It is a handsome, well priced and visually impressive piece. Nice weight and heft to it. Looks expensive. He was very impressed with it and concerned that I spent too much on him. He's a fan of dive watches and likes the Omega, but was pleased with the appearance of this watch, in fact, he indicated that he preferred this style to the much costier Omega.
The only draw back... the presentation box is a hideous yellow and somewhat cheap looking, plus the box was all but destroyed when I got it... I had to "punt" and use the exterior box to present...

We were very dissapointed with this watch. When I first saw it online, I really thought my husband would like it. But from the time he put it on his wrist, he was unhappy with it. It is a very heavy watch and was constantly running fast. He never knew what the correct time was. When he took it off for the day and went to put it on the next morning, it had stopped. He then had to reset the time, every morning.

I can't say much here that hasn't already been said. This watch is a steal at $100 and can usually be found for a few bucks cheaper with a little patience and effort. The band is really well-made - much nicer and heftier than typical at this price point. The two most common complaints - the weakness of the glow-in-the-dark material and the paltry date magnifier - are really minor and don't affect my appreciation of the watch. If your vision is bad enough that you struggle to see the date unmagnified, any magnifier isn't going to make that much of a difference. And how often do you really look at your watch 8 hours after you've shut off the light? The glow on mine definitely lasts for 5-6 hours, which is plenty impressive at this price range. The view of the concededly-undecorated movement is still fascinating and something you can't really get for this price with most watches. The screw-down crown is solid and easy to work with. The supposedly stiff bezel did loosen a bit with use and wasn't that tough to turn to begin with.
br /
br /The only real caveat is that Invicta is notoriously bad at customer service and is only spotty with quality control. The risk is that you'll get a slightly defective unit - a slightly off bezel, a screwy crown (har-har, no pun intended), or some other minor problem - and end up having to live with it or risk further damage, poor communication, and a loss of $25 and shipping under their "warranty." I'm reviewing the watch I received, which was flawless and deserves 5 stars. I've now bought two other Invictas and both have arrived in perfect condition. I imagine if I had to go through the headaches some of these other reviewers have warned about, I wouldn't be so gung ho. But if you want a fantastic automatic diver watch at 1/10 the price of most other options, and you don't mind taking a bit of risk, I wouldn't hesitate at all to purchase it.

If you are like me, you probably will read all of the reviews on this watch before you buy it. I can honestly say that you will get a decent watch for around $100.00 bucks. I own (2) of these and both of them average around 10 seconds fast per day. This is considered within a normal range for this watch. You are not buying a Rolex automatic or even a quartz watch for that matter. If you are trying to buy an inexpensive automatic that will keep time to that of a Rolex, or an Omega forget it. I will say that most people can live with 15+ or 15- seconds a day for an Invicta. That being the case, the Invicta 8926 watch is a fine looking timepiece that looks just as good as a Rolex automatic. Another thing that will be apparent is that the screw down crown is not that smooth. Again, you are buying an Invicta, not a Rolex, Omega, Breitling, or a Tag Heuer. You get the picture. What you will get is a very nice looking acceptable timepiece that keeps accurate time within the acceptable standards for this Japanese automatic movement. It is not a $2000 Swiss movement. If you want the Swiss Invicta movement, prepare to spend more money. To sum up, I am happy with my purchase of this watch and being realistic for around $100.00 bucks it is a good deal.

I saw a friend of mine wearing this watch and fell in love with it. I thought it was a Rolex or Breitling. When he told me what he paid for it my jaw dropped and I had to get one. I love it and it looks great. It is a thick heavy watch so beware if you don't like heavy watches. Also if you don't wear it often it'll stop since it's mechanical. No biggy, you'll just have to adjust the time and date again. I've owned it for less than two months now so I can't judge long term quality yet.

After opting to go with Amazon Prime, I was pleasantly surprised to receive my watch in just "2 Days!" It came just as it stated, in a very nice looking yellow Invicta trademark box and packaged very nicely by Amazon as to avoid any mishaps. I have had it now for over a month and wear it daily and am pleased to announce, it works great! I have been wearing all day/every day since I took it took a local jeweler to get links taken out. I have had many comments on its looks, even from the jeweler. I believe he said to me, "very nice timepiece." I also want to say "thank you" to Amazon for making my first purchase a successful one.

This is my 6th Invicta watch and I shouldn't be surprised anymore at how good the quality is. The price is unbelievable. I would put the appearance of this watch up against my Rolex any day. I have 1 Rolex and 6 Invicta's and still haven't come close to spending as much on all my Invicta watches as my other. You can feel the quality from the moment you open the box; a watch box that is unsurpassed by any other company with suede like interior and cloth covering the watch, the watch band comes sealed in heat shrinked plastic to protect it in shipping and the stainless steel on the watch is perfect and heavy, the weight that winds the watch is balanced to perfection and the crystal and watch face look as good as any other brand. The only negative thing I can say about the watch is that the clasp is a little light and could be a little heavier to match up to the rest of the watch, but it certainly won't affect its use.
I am constantly amazed at what a fine watch Invicta can put out for the money compared to any other brand. This surpasses Timex, Casio, etc. but rivals Bulova, Omega and others for a fraction of the price.

I bought this Divers Watch on a whim. It turned out to be a great watch! Its quality and accuracy is evident as soon as you open its yellow storage box. The face polishing fabric is an added plus which isn't mentioned in the watch's discription. The watch is heavy and has VERY distinct characteristics. The adjustable band will fit the narrowest and widest of wrists. I saw the INVITCA brand advertised on The Home shopping Channel a few days after I recived my divers watch. It was $20 more than I spent on Amazon. Amazon is the place to get the best deals...I'm happy and enjoy showing off this beautiful time piece. This Invicta automatic Men's Pro Diver S2 watch is an unbelievable value. It has a quality stainless band, a nice Japanese Myota automatic movement (mechanical self winding), and styled after the Rolex Submariner. You can't go wrong with this watch--two enthusiastic thumbs up!

This is the best watch I have ever bought. I own a Swiss Army Officer's watch and a wonderful blue faced Citizens Chronograph. The Invicta easily tops them all. Heavy, solid, high quality time piece. The word "Invicta" is inscribed on the side of the watch as well as on each and every link of the band. The sweep hand runs very smoothly.
The "ecodrive" works flawlessly and it has kept perfect time. The date window is easily visualized, and the crystal is super clear!
This is one of the best looking wacthes I have ever seen. It screams high end quality, but thanks to Amazon, we can get it at a super price.
If you like high quality, heavy, "manly" :-) watch this one is for you!

I got this Invicta for a friend to gift to her husband. We all thought it was beautiful, he loves it. This watch has the new "wavy" rotating bezel ( like my "O" brand Seamaster ) while the rest of the styling stays true to the original design of a Submariner. After comparing side-by-side to my expensive dive watches it was hard to understand how the price of the "S2" could be possible. The weight, quality and level of finish are well above what should be expected for the money, however as I am learning are typical of what Invicta offers. F.Y.I., there is a scripted brand logo insribed in the side of the case that I was unaware of when ordering ( which looks very nice actually )
It gains time, it's not as robust as I expected

Pros: It looks nice. I like the no battery feature. (Although I can hear it winding, which freaks me out.)
Cons: It gains about 2 minutes per week. The clasp feels weak, and the black ring around the face of the watch is loose and pivots back & forth like a see-saw. When I push down around the 1:00 time location, it pushes towards the watch and you can hear it move.
I'm not crazy about the watch. This is my first "nice" watch, and I think I'll stick with the cheap watches from now on.

I bought this watch in december. It is my first invicta watch. I read many reviews of satisfied customers and decided to try. The cost was way below other watches of more "known" brands. I was very pleased when it arrived. Even the package shows better details than my other watches.
It feels strong on the wrist, has a solid stainless steel. Works pretty well if you use it continuously (otherwise it will stop since it's automatic) The trinite pieces look strong at nigth.
In few words, much, much better than I expected and price is way below my price expectations for a watch like this (quality and materials).

This is my first mechanical watch. It is a solid, well built piece. I have noticed that the time varies by +/- 2 seconds a day, not as accurate as a quartz watch but accurate enough for any but the most demanding.

After reading all the reviews, most of which were very positive, I decided to buy one of these watches. I just got it today. The fellow who said the picture on the site doesn't do it justice was dead on. The watch is absolutely awesome in every detail. I haven't been able to find a flaw. The craftsmanship for a watch at this price (at almost any price) is unbelievable.
Others have said that the bezel is hard to turn - and it is. But how many of us who wear this watch will actually ever go diving with it?
As so many have already said, the watch has the look and feel of one costing 50 times as much (go ahead and price a new Rolex Submariner). I expect to get many compliments on it. I have no idea how a watch like this can be made for under $100. Just a great value.

I purcahsed this watch as I broke the band on my other one. It was only $10 dearer to by the new watch then to by another band.
Now I have two watches and I was able to fix the band as well so two bands to boot.
200M water resistant is great if you want to get the watch wet as well.
I wouldn't try going that deep anyway.
This is a rugged little timepiece and great for a parent to give to a child as a special present.

I own two of these watches. They were so cheep thru Amazon, it was cheeper to just buy two than to purchase the extended warranty thru Invicta.
Pros: I've owned many knock off watches. I'd have to say this is as close to the real deal you will get. The price is even cheeper than most knock offs too. It looks great, very masculine watch!
Cons: It is fast, you have to keep adjusting the time back. A bit of a pain, but hey for the price.....

I'm willing to live with it. The first thing I noticed about this is that it's BIG and heavy. I have an Omega and my Casio diver watch recently died on me. So, I've used both high and low end watches. I bought my casio at Costco a few years back and it's been very good to me. The biggest problems I've had with watches is that the batteries do not last long and when you change the battery, it's no longer water proof, usually. Back to the Invicta: Let me say the package is way over the top for a sub hundred $ watch. It's the biggest and the thickest watch I've owned. I'd say it's a good 1/2 inch thick. If you are into masculine watches, you got it with this one. The workmanship of this watch is not what you'd find in a sub hundred $ watch. Overall, it's a very high quality, "real" man's watch. On the downside: The magnifier over the date is a bit cheesy and the date is a bit hard to see. You gain a little time and with constant adjusting, I wonder if the winder mechanism might die on me prematurely. The inner side of the wrist band could be a little smoother. My Omega, which has a steel wristband, feels almost velvety. With this one, I want to take it off when I get home from work because it isn't the most comfortable thing in the world. But, hey, it's a man watch.

I've never seen this quality for this price in a watch before. Yeah it gains 10 seconds every day, but if I wanted accuracy for the price, I'd buy a quartz. It's so much more fun to watch the whirring bits through the back. Solid, heavy, and cosmetically flawless. Many websites talk about these Invictas, so there's not much else to say. The band alone is worth a great portion of the price. The slightly oversized and sharp stem is shredding my hand where it rubs, but hey, small price to pay.

I am a second Invicta watch owner. This is my first automatic and so far so good. The price was right with the 20% off, making it the lowest price around for an automatic movement watch. The crown is easy to adjust. For some reason people were saying it was difficult to work. I was amazed by the quality of the watch and the fine craftsmanship and detail. The band was about 3 links too big; however, I was able to remove the pins with ease with the free Invicta watch tool I received by calling Invicta! I toyed with either buying the gold finish or the stainless. I made the right choice as this is probably the best time piece I have ever seen. The second hand sweeps smooth rather than in steps like a regular watch. I believe Rolex and only a few other watches do this. Since this is my first day with it, I am sure I will list an update at some point. Invicta warranties the watch for 1 year with the option of an additional 4 years; however, the price for the warranty was about half of what I paid for the watch. The only downside is that if you need it repaired under the 1 year or extended warranty, you need to send a check for $20.00 along with the watch. I am sure that if you complain enough if it breaks they might waive the $20.00. Anyway, great loooking watch, great price, You will impress your friends no doubt! By the way, got it in 2 days from the date I placed the order. A++++ Amazon!

Okay, I RARELY write reviews, but this watch is so amazing, it deserves my highest endorsement. I defy anyone, anywhere, to find a better made or higher quality watch for anywhere near the price point of the #8926. It simply can't be done.
This all stainless watch is well crafted and feels heavy and solid on the wrist. The fit and finish is top quality, and it keeps great time. So far, after three weeks, the movement gains about 10 seconds/day, but from what I understand should get even more accurate as it breaks it.
For the same (if not more) money, I could have bought a plastic digital Timex or Casio at the nearest Target or Walmart. Believe me, order the Invicta #8926, and be totally amazed yourself. I took it to a local jeweler to size the bracelet, and he was awestruck as well. The Invicta is every bit as nice as watches he sells for more than 15 times the price!
The watch arrived in an attractive faux leather box with an instruction manual. It was running upon arrival, so I merely unscrewed the crown, and set the time/date. I've adjusted the time once since then. The bezel fit and finish is perfect, and the crown fit and finish is flawless. If I had to find a fault, it would be that the magnifier could be a little stronger for my tired eyes, but I'm being picky here.
The Invicta #8926 is simply an unbeatable value in an automatic watch. Buy it.

Let's get something straight. If you're reading these reviews to see if you want to purchase this pretty good Invicta knock-off of a Rolex Submariner and you think that this grade of automatic movement shouldn't lose or gain a half minute a day, you (as many reviewers here, were) may be disappointed. Ditto if you expect your automatic watch (also of this grade) to stay wound for more than 24 hours after it leaves your wrist. Truth be told, that's what you can expect from this watch's movement. After all, it's an automatic, and for under a hundred clams, no less. If you insist on an accurate and convenient timepiece, that's what a quartz watch is designed for.
THAT BEING SAID, the movement is very par for the price. My particular Pro Diver gains 20 seconds in 24 hours compared to my Rolex and Omega, which are 5 and 12 second laggards, respectively. More than I'd like, though you really couldn't expect better.
It's a hell of a sharp looking watch, just like what it's trying to emulate, and I think I'll keep mine, thank you. BTW, it's well worth the $285 list price,

This is a beautiful watch. I have received many compliments. I took it to a jeweler and had 2 links removed for $5. I am a big guy - 6'3" 250 lbs, and the thick heavy watch works well for me. I've seen some complaints about how big the watch is. Be on notice that if you are not large, this will probably not work for you.
I also echo another reviewer's complaints about the horrible manual. Even for a watch this simple I had problems. It keeps changing days at noon instead of midnight. After some trial and error I figured it out but no thanks to Invicta.
At any rate, it is nice looking, appears to be very durable, and I recommend it heartily.

I rather have a car than a Rolex, so there are many ways to get a Rolex knockoff. You can get a good friend to get one on their next trip to the Orient. You can buy one from one of the hundreds of street vendors at a swap meet or home show. Or you can buy an Invicta from Amazon with the comfort of having a return option. I got it from Amazon and don't think I will exercise that option.
The Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch #8926 is just great.
PROS
1. Great looks. Unless you look for the Rolex trademark, the design is very close to the Rolex so you know the design is solid and well accepted.
2. Automatic. My real purpose of getting this watch. I got really tired replacing batteries for my other watches...and they seem to always be out when I need them the most.
3. Sturdy. Watch feels well made and not tinny. Very solid body. The clasp on the watch band seems thin...so I will update this review if things turn out differently.
4 Price. Very good looking watch for the price
CONS
1. Accuracy. Loses about a minute or so a day. Not a big deal for me. I have atomic clocks at home and adjust the time accordingly. That is the trade I made not to have to replace the batteries.
OVERALL
5 stars for looks and value. I bought 2 other Invictas in different color schemes so you will see this review there as well.

After reading many of the reviews here, I decided to go ahead and make the purchase (with some trepidation). Well, after about a month of use, I am not having any problems with the watch. I really enjoy wearing it. For the price I paid (74.80 - shipped) it can't be beat. For my first Invicta, I'm pleasantly surprised. I will probably begin to buy more automatics because of this watch, not having to change a battery appeals to me, and the fact that it winds with the movement of your arm, makes it that much more "green". If you are considering this watch, don't hesitate to buy it, for the price, you can't go wrong, either for yourself, or as a gift.

The Invicta Diver 8926 is a bargin!!! I've been a fan of the Rolex Submariner for years, and this watch truely has that "look". Actually, I've had people ask me if it is the Rolex. I really am impressed with the quality. It is much more than I expected for a $100 AUTOMATIC watch and it looks, feels, and (sort-of) acts like a thousand dollar watch, or even almost like a $5000 Rolex Submariner. Ok, the only "con" I find about this watch is that it does run about a minute fast/ per week. It has the MIYOTA automatic mech.; the same that Citizen uses. It's not as accurate as a Swiss made watch but keep in mind, it is 1:10th the cost. If you dont mind it running slightly fast(and I do mean SLIGHTLY fast) this is the definition of "bang for the buck". I REALLY like this watch and wear it daily and it really does look and feel like a watch that should cost upwards of $500.

After 6 weeks this watch started to malfunction. Called Invicta to inquire about the warranty to learn that a check for $35.00 must accompany the watch to obtain service. Ridiculous to pay such an amount on a $99.00 watch after 6 weeks. I shipped it back to Amazon and while I was penalized 20% for a return made after 30 days of purchase I am happy to be rid of it. I would not purchase this brand.

Eagerly purchased to 8926 for only $95.00. It looks and feels like a much more expensive watch. It runs pretty fast, about 3 or 4 minutes a week. After wearing it for only six weeks, a link in the band keeps popping out. Invicta wants over 20% of the purchase price for shipping even though its only a few bucks via UPS. You truly get what you pay for.

The watch itself looks nice, looks durable (I've only had it for about a month or so) and I've gotten compliments already. The Invicta Gear Collection Backpack was a nice gift, an $82 dollar value if you purchase it by itself.
br /
br /I'm not much of a watch person, I don't need it for the time (I check my centro for that) which this one does well, but I like it because of its appearance and it goes nice with my graduation ring.
br /
br /Very nice watch, affordable price and well I at least got a gift, right now I think you get a football with your purchase. I had a long customer service saga with Invicta itself on this one. Sent the original watch back twice to be fixed for a minor defect, which I discovered after the Amazon return period expired. They eventually sent me a replacement, but it had a broken bracelet, which they then replaced separately. The replacement watch was gaining 80 seconds a day, and I learned to regulate it myself rather than send it back yet again. I'm completely serious about that, although it would have been a better idea to pay a professional to do it.
br /
br /What I've ended up with is actually quite a good watch for the money. It now keeps time to within a couple of seconds a day, actually averaging out gains and losses for very little net change. The case and bracelet are very good quality, and overall, it's quite attractive.
br /
br /Two quibbles still. The date magnifier is just slightly off center, just enough to be a slight annoyance once you notice it. The uni-directional bezel moves stiffly, and occasionally sticks. Compared to the timing bezels I have on other watches, some of them pretty cheap, this is sub-par.
br /
br /On the whole, though, I've ended up with a pretty good mechanical watch for not too much money. Most people probably won't get a defective watch, as I did initially, and if you're not happy with the accuracy, a watch repairman can regulate it for you to be very good indeed. There's nothing wrong with the movement, but as was pointed out to me by someone else on a horology forum, for $100, Invicta isn't going to adjust it that much in their factory. They probably just get a shipment of the movements in from Miyota, stick them in the cases, and figure that most of them will be accurate enough for most people.
br /
br /If you decide to adjust it yourself, and end up breaking it, don't say I didn't warn you; I just got lucky!

This is a decent watch for the money. But don't expect the promised free extended warranty. You get an application for an extended warranty that tells you how much it costs for different models.I called Invicta and explained that I purchased the watch on Amazon and was supposed to get a free extended warranty. The girl said "No problem.Just send in the application with a copy of the receipt and we will mail you back your warranty. I even wrote on the application that I purchased it on Amazon and was entitled to free extended warranty. They sent my application and receipt back demanding money. The promised warranty is a phony come on that will not be honored by Invicta.Don't let the promised warranty be a factor in your decision to purchase this watch.

I just got this watch, which is my seventh Invicta timepiece. Invicta just has a unique and in this case subtle sense of design and style.
All my Invicta's keep impeecable time as does this one. This one has the advantabe of not needing a battery being the self winding type.
The band is medium weight and convertable. The bezel is might be tight to some but to me, is quite easy to turn. The one interesting comment I have heard is that the bezel is strictly for diving. I use it to time things. Not in that exact manner that would require a stopwatch but I have often found it useful when estimating time such as I put money in the parking meter and want to gauge when I would have to return to put more in... etc.
The hands and digits are luminescent at night. The watch face is clear with a sweep second hand and the date has a small inobtrusive magnification square over the date.
I am very pleased with this watch, not overly large. Sporty but can be warn with office attire.
It has subtly unique look among the various diver watches that are available. The price is excellent for such a quality timepiece.

Not bad watches...not great, but not bad. I have two Invicta watches. Here is what you need to know about Invicta's Automatic Watches. They look great, great selection of styles, and the price is right. The problem is the automatic movements do not keep great time. If you wear them over night they are pretty accurate, but not perfect. If you take them off during the night, no matter how you set them down, they gain or loose time and you have to reset them in the morning. I have one that gains time and one that looses time....go figure? So, if you don't mind adjusting the time of your watch daily, they are a good looking, inexpensive, fair quality watch.
Very good quality; excellent price

I have owned this watch for over a year now and am very pleased with it, my sense being that it is, as some other reviewers have asserted, dollar for dollar about the best watch available. For buyers who want the looks of a Rolex Submariner, the model with the coin-edge bezel and black dial will likely be appealing; for those who want a watch whose appearance is a little more unique, the model with the scalloped bezel and blue dial will be more attractive. Otherwise the models are identical, both containing the extremely reliable Miyota movement and both using the heavy, solid steel case that make this a very tough, durable watch.
Some prior reviewers have complained that the watch runs too fast out of the box, sometimes gaining minutes in a day. I didn't have this experience, but it's not a big deal. Any watch and clock repair person (check the phone book) can regulate an automatic movement to within a high degree of accuracy. This is a par-for-the-course procedure and not expensive. Moreover, generally speaking, automatic movements run fast at first and settle down after a month or so of regular use (i.e. being wound) so don't give up on the watch if it's not particularly accurate at first.
My only real complaint is that the bezel on the watch I received was so tight as to be virtually immobile. But a few drops of lubricant applied between the bezel and the case loosened it up nicely and now it turns pretty easily.
Reasonable watch for its price but....

Got this watch last week WELL .. this is has a power reserve of like what ? 12hrs ? Because I am sure if I did not wear this watch for just 1 day the watch would stop. That really gets on my nerves. And I did not know that this watch is using a Japanese Movement as amazon did not state that down. What can I say for the price what would I expect ? Swiss movement .. wishful thinking I guess.

The Invicta Pro Diver Watch was quite a hit with our son. He just graduated from UCLA and was very excited to see virtually all the mechanisms of the watch. I also got a great priced that allowed me to give him some cash money, which every new graduate needs!!!

Reviews were pretty good, price looked good, watch looked good, bought it. One month later, band scratches easily and badly leaving marks all over it just from sitting at a desk and using a keyboard. Accuracy is usually within 30 seconds a day but I think that is way to much, a couple of seconds I can live with but.........get what you pay for I guess!

I have wanted a watch that I can wear 24 hours a day 7 days a week, a watch that I can forget, yet keeps good time. The first watch that I bought (a Timex triathlon) for this purpose failed miserably, the rubber band cracked in 6 month and broke in a year. Looking for another watch, I found this one. Now I have owned this watch for nearly a year now so I think it is time for a review.
Pro:
- Water tight. I have wore mine in showers, in swimming pool, and in the salt water of Atlantic ocean. There is never a slight sign of water vapor inside the watch.
- Automatic rewinding. I wore mine 24x7. Yes that includes sleep time. The band is pretty comfortable so I don't bother taking it off.
- Good accuracy. In the first 3 month, this watch is slightly faster. Then it slowed down until it is slower by 1 minutes per week, which I think is not a good sign. However 8 month into ownership, it corrected itself back and is very accurate. I have not had the need to adjust the time for almost 2 month until the daylight saving time kicks in on March 11th.
- This watch looks good.
Con:
- The date magnifier is a joke. It is positioned so that when I need to check the date, my wrist need to be turned all the way inward until the watch dial is almost facing me. Otherwise the edge of the magnifier will block the date window. My eyesight is good enough to see the date unassisted, so I started looking for a way to remove the date magnifier. After much search there seems to be only two ways: with a soldering iron or with a sharp knife. I instead went with a small screw driver as a chisel and hammered away on the magnifier, thinking that the worst case will be breaking the glass. But that is not too bad as this watch cost so little I can just buy another one.
Eventually I managed to chisel away every piece of the magnifier. But I do left a few scratch on the glass surface that is visible under a narrow angle.
Overall I'm very satisfied with this watch. I hope Invicta will one day make a version without the magnifier, or even with the date window.
Pretty good but a few picky items

I just got this for 89.99. I noticed some people got it for less but I'm not worried about the 10 bucks.
The watch is very nice, it looks exactly like the $1000 model except for a little thing at the bottom on the face that says "Japan Movt". Its 90 bucks so I dont really care about that either.
The reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 is because of the band. It straight up sucks. The pins are falling out all the time and its chinsey. Luckily I found a rolex band on ebay that requires screws to secure it for 30 bucks so again Im not too concerned that I didnt get my money worth.
The watch is heavy and slick and now with the heavier band it should be a 5star. Maybe we can get invicta to work on that in the future because on my raymond weil, tag, and rolex the bands are all solid like the rest of the watch.

I discovered and purchased an Invicta folowing an internet search for an automatic waterproof watch. I had destroyed 2 or 3 Timexes in the past couple of years and don't want to wear my more delicate Swiss watch when working arround the house, in the yard or travelling. I figured the Invicta must be too good to be true but I decided to give it a try anyway because it was cheap. First, it is not a Rolex nor is it the quality of a Rolex. However, it is certainly a remarkably well built watch for $100 and it keeps time to within 3 minutes a month (about equal to any Rolex I have encountered). Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase. I have taken to wearing it daily as I am immune to worry when I beat it up as it is relatively inexpensive. Definitely better and less expensive than any Swatch I have owned. I was so impressed I bought my wife one. She suceeded in accidently destroying hers (the face on the womens watch may be mineral crystal rather than synthetic saphire). Certainly the cyclops lens is not ground into the surface like a Rolex but appears to be glued on over the date as hers popped off in an impact situation.

I love this freaking watch! I bought it to replace my beatup and battered Swiss Army watch that I had for years. I am very particular about watches and don't wear a lot of jewelry. I always thought that I would never be able to afford a great looking quality watch and looked at them from afar...I only knew the big brand names that cost hundreds and thousands of dollars. All I can say is I would buy a drawer full of Invictas before I ever bought a Rolex. The quality and craftsmanship of this watch is off the chain! Do yourself a favor and buy this watch, you will NOT be disappointed!

For the price, you can't beat this automatic-movement diving watch. However, as other reviewers have experienced, the quality control inconsistency is real. I briefly owned this watch. It looked very good, and feels solid. However, upon closer examination the Invicta logo was crooked by a fraction of a millimeter, though noticeable. I haven't seen such problem in $50 watches, and I don't think it should happen in a $100 watch. Regardless, it went back the next day. I had better experience with the blue/gold dual tone Invicta watch using the same movement, I doubt I'll buy the 8926 again.

Very good watch, for the money. I've had it for more than three years now, and it's perfect, it has never stopped or failed like some reviewers say.
It looks good, so good it attracts too much attention some times. It does have to be reset to time for a couple of minutes off like monthly or so, but that's kind of normal on mechanical watches, not too much of a problem to be aggravated about. I've wore it mostly daily, and Iit has gotten roughed up a little bit, and still everything ok, nothing clunky or loose in it.
If you want a Rolex then shed the $5K+ but if you want a diver's watch that closely follows the Rolex spirit with good quality, looks and performance this is the watch for you. Believe me, there's nothing bad about this watch.

THIS IS A GOOD WATCH FOR THE MONEY, INVICTA #8926. I HAVE READ ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT IT VARYING IN SECONDS AND STOP WORKING IF NOT WORN. IF YOU WANT A WATCH THAT DOES NOT VARY IN SECONDS DONT GET AN AUTOMATIC....GO TO WALMART AND GET A TIMEX QUARTZ(LOL). BUT IF YOU WANT A NICE LOOKING AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT WATCH THIS ONE IS AN EXCELLENT BUY. I OWN 2 TAGS AND THE 8926 SEEMS TO BE OF NEAR EQUAL QUALITY. ALSO IF YOU WANT TO REMOVE SOME LINKS IN THE BRACLET GET THE WATCH PIN REMOVER SOLD ON AMAZON FOR ABOUT $8.00 OR TAKE IT TO A WATCH SHOP FOR ABOUT THE SAME PRICE.
I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS WATCH FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND WEAR IT 24/7 TO TEST IT OUT. SO FOR I AM VERY PLEASED WITH IT AND WOULD/HAVE RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS.....FOR $89 WHY NOT GIVE IT A TRY?
...UPDATE...OVER A MONTH NOW AND NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!

The Invicta Pro Diver Automatic watch is a quality watch. The case and face look similar to the Rolex Submariner. Invicta is a Swiss company, but the self winding mechanism is Japanese. It works well, it runs fast just a few second a day. This does not happen with quartz movements, but the advantage of self winding is evident. It is a rugged watch at a good price. Case and stainless steel band's finish is quite good.

I purchased my Invicta Pro Diver about three years ago. I owned other watches at the time. My son came to me one day and told me he really needed a good watch. He couldn't afford one, so I (being a soft touch) gave him my Pro Diver. He is in the construction/remodeling business and is really tough on watches. He doesn't just wear a watch. He brutalizes it. The watch looks as if it had been put in a meat grinder, but it keeps perfect time and hasn't missed a lick. If a wrist watch will hold up under his use, it will last for a long time with normal wear and use. If you're looking for a really good watch for a good price, I strongly recommend this Invicta. I own two other automatic Invictas and couldn't be happier with them. Great products at a good price.

I have had two of these watches. I am pretty hard on my watches so I can't justify spending thousands on something nice just to beat it up. This is my go-to beater automatic watch. The first one I broke (completely my fault, and wound up being stepped on/kicked by a crowd of people), so I bought a second one. I am not sure what happened to it, but I lost it. Since I like this watch so much, I am wanting a third one. It is a decent automatic for less than $100 brand new, it has a very close resemblance to a Rolex Submariner (a fine looking watch), and keeps good time.
br /
br /The only weakness I can see is the bracelet. I broke the pin holding it on to the watch pretty easily. It was a $2 fix at a mall watch shop though.
br /
br /If you want the look and action of a Rolex Submariner (sweeping second hand!) for less than $100, this is what you want.

like most other reviews, it's the best 90 bucks to spend on a watch. the price of a fossil at jc penny for a fantastic look. automatic movement and a nice case. most importantly, keeps an accurate time.
br /
br /again, it's a 90 dollar watch. not as heavy as a real "swiss" automatic. just don't expect to get a $1000 bling out of it.

br /so if you want a presentable watch but don't want to spend too much... ...this is it. if it looks good, buy it. the worse case is to return it to amazon.

Beautiful timepiecce. Substantial weight. A local jeweler thought I paid at least $1500. Looks like an Omega Submariner. Keeps time for about 2-1/2 days before needing winding or wearing. Runs about 3 minutes fast over 3-4 days. Same watch at Sam's Club for $25 more. I'll but another Invicta without hesitation.

I have had this watch (8926) for over a year. It looks and feels fantastic and I'd give it a 5 as a piece of jewlery. I've received plenty of compliments. It is not that reliable however in the timekeeping department. I'd say that it runs 3 minutes a day slow and it stops running if it sits on a table for 12 or so hours. I tried using a watch winder (a machine that keeps rotating the watch) but the motion of the winder did not wind this particular watch at all. If I take it off when I get home from work, I have to reset it in the morning. I won't purchase another automatic watch. Quartz (battery operated) keep much better time in my opinion and you don't have to fool with them constantly. But...you get what you pay for, and at this price I'm not complaining too much. It is a good watch for the money, but it is not a good watch.

the watch itself is great, looks amazing and to see the movement in the back is nice.sometimes, i find myself staring at the movement for hours.just kidding.lol
The only down fall I've noticed is light weighted metal band not sure of quality but to get adjusted was difficult for watch shop as the pins are think like wire.
but for a watch such as this seems well rounded for the price tag.much better than Fossil or similar companies at the same price.
would recommend for everyday wear:style can go with suit or jeans and tee. not for those with more money than brains and status of Rolex.

Previously all my watches were with quartz movement. I like to have accurate time at all time. However, coming across review on this watch on ShopNBC, I decided to give it a try to see what automatic can do.
The watch looks nice and solid. But not a bracelet, its quality is very poor. It broke in three pieces even though it was not even adjusted 4 days after I started to wear it.
So instead of sending watch to Invicta to repair this flaw (it would cost you to ship it to them and insure it, plus $20 for shipping it back to you), I went to local Walmart and got nice stainless steel bracelet (not much different from Invicta, except without its logo) for $10 including tax.
What surprises me is that I have Invicta 9225 and it has similar bracelet but I am very happy with it and wear it at least once in a week for the last 5 months.
So far, I own this watch to 10 days and it keeps good time. In one week it gain less than a minute. I expect that watch will slow down in a month. From what I heard and read, this watch should be accurate to 1 min per month. I will keep on checking it.

I've had a fling when it came to watches and was fascinated by the gears and inner workings of a mechanical watch. I've read most of the reviews about the Invicta 8926, both user reviews on Amazon and dedicated reviews elsewhere on the Internet, and went for it.
After a month of wearing it, it definitely has a quality feel like the Seiko I have, and it's always fun to see how it works through the exhibition back. Time tends to be inconsistent, either off by 1-2 minutes either direction, but this is typical of mechanical watches; otherwise, I haven't noticed any problems with the watch itself.
It's a great product, and great for someone who wants a good automatic without breaking your wallet.

This is a nice watch. It has the look and feel of a far more expensive time piece. I found the face easy to read and the band has a high quality finish and feel. I like the safety feature of the band which will keep me from loosing it when diving, which has happened to me with the rubber band style. It is a self-winding watch so you will need to wear it every day or it will stop and you will have to reset it. That can be annoying if you don't want to wear it for some reason. The only real complaint I have with the watch is the glass over the date is convexed. This means the there is a bubble like piece of glass that has already gotten scratched on my watch. If you have a desk job it won't be a problem. I however work with my hands and it is not uncommon for me to hit the watch while working. Over all I'am pleased and would purchase another Invicta.

...that Invicta has such poor customer service. I bought this watch even after reading the reviews about it breaking down and was hoping that I would get lucky...I wasn't, and the watch simply stopped working after 4 months of owning it.
br /I sent the watch back to Invicta to fix (cost me 20.00 for shipping, but I guess that's just like me buying the watch for $120.00; 100.00 for the watch and 20.00 for the INEVITABLE repair fee).
br /I sent them the watch about a month ago and am still waiting for word on it. They sent me a postcard saying that the watch was received and will have it back to me A MONTH LATER.
br /There's no straight forward way to contact Invicta, even looking at their website right now I do not see a Contact Information page. The only thing I can get out of their site that is remotely useful is the information on my watch that they have. And guess what? It hasn't been updated since the day they've received it. According to Invicta, a month after having my watch, the status on the repair is "Just Received."
br /It's a shame that such a nice watch can have such horrible service, but I guess you get what you pay for.

br /EDIT 12/19/08
br /Still have not received my watch back from Invicta. On their website status still showing same thing it was showing a month ago: "Just Received."

Invicta makes the highest quality entry-level watches on the market. The steel band is as heavy as any I've found and despite my clumsy nature the crystal has remained scratch free for the past two years.
br /
br /The Japanese automatic movement in this watch is obviously not as precise as swiss counterparts. I charted my watches performance against the US Navy Master Clock for about a month and on average it gains about 7 seconds per day. So I do have to roll the dial back every few weeks, but if I only have to make that one concession in this price range then I consider this a fantastic buy.

This is a frustrating watch. I like its looks, and wear it a lot, but it's a speed demon. Have had it into an Invicta authorized repair place twice and it still gains a minute a day. I have a similar model in blue and gold (I like to change watches now and then) and it keeps perfect time. This Invicta absolutely smokes knockoff Rolexes that run in the $300 range. The casing is good and solid and it is an attractive watch that looks much nicer than its pricetag. A couple of things, however: the movement is not particularly robust so even if you wear this thing all around town one night the wind will exhaust itself by about 10:00 the next morning (assuming you do not put it back on). Also, the bracelet is adequate but of course does not begin to measure up to a higher quality brand. Yet I suppose both of these things are totally acceptable for a watch in this price range. Excellent value.

Get this watch for it's looks and price, not it's ability to keep time. Very well built. Looks like a much more expensive watch. Very solid. However, loses time each day and if you take it off for more than 8-10 hours, it will stop running and you will have to reset the date/time. My previous self-winding watch would run for a couple days without wearing it. Major disappointment that this one wouldn't.

i purchased the same watch for my husband for Christmas. I ordered extra link on 1/5/07 from Invicta. It is now 2/19/07 and I have yet to receive the links. My husband is 6'7" and has a large wrist. I call Invicta at least 2 times a week. The phone system is HORRIBLE... You keep going in circles and finally get a person who says " it's on it's way from Switzerland." Last week I was told that it is finally in UPS on it's way to me...we'll see!
The watch itself is quite beautiful but the company is less than professional. I have contacted you about this problem before and was told there was nothing you could do. If you are going to sell a product you need to make sure the supplier is consumer friendly and helpful.
I needed to know the circumference of the watch band but never was able to find it in your description.

I love simple watches: round, easy to be read, no frills, made of shining steel. This is what I search for about watches, and this watch meets my "desiderata". It is simple, automatic, this is why I hope it will last for a very long time.

I ordered this product because of the reviews and for the fact that is was automatic. It is a nice watch, however the self-winding is not as good as many other watches. This is partially made up for with the manual winding feature.

I really liked this watch - until the crown simply fell out after 5 months. I had a hard time pulling it out to set the date and time - something seemed to be wrong with whatever was holding it in.
br /
br /Anyway, one day I looked down and the crown was missing.
br /
br /Now I've got to ship it back to Invicta along with 20 bucks for shipping and handling (don't most manufacturers cover this??)

I think this is one of my favorite watches although I have a couple of Tags and Breitlings. The quality is great for the price and I don't feel guilty wearing it for an everyday watch. My only complaint is that the painted bezel around the dial does not look as nice as the rest of the watch...still, an accurate piece that I would recommend to anyone.

It's pretty much best automatic watch you can buy for the money. The movement, made by Citizen, is reputable. The look is the classic Rolex Submariner look. The band looks very classy and heavy---hence expensive and not cheesy like some others. The display back is always nice.
Caveats:
1. The date window is too small for the magnifier. I have an antique Rolex OP Date, which has the magnifier, where the number fills the magnifier part. Somehow, this makes it look a little cheap.
2. The lum on the hands and dials are somewhat useless. But I hardly come into the situation where I'm in a really dark place needing to know what time it is.
3. The glass for the dial would've been nice if it were the thick type, but it's not sapphire crystal, anyway. But maybe the more expensive version of this watch has that?

I bought this so I would have a decent timepiece that was automatic and H20 proof. The build quality is great
and the price is fair. I travel alot and now I am not worried about a Quartz battery failing when I am in the middle of the outback or Morrocco! Get one!

This is my 1st automatic movement watch. I've done some homework searching reviews online before ordering it. 8926 is highly praised in Invicta collectors. Had this watch for a month, keeps good time, it is as accurate as my Accutron quartz. I don't see problems like catching 1 minute a day as some reviews described.
My kid loves it. I let him wear it after school, cause the style is a little bit weird for an 8th grader. I will give this to my son when he's in high school, and my next target will be 25 jewel automatic.

Great time piece, looks just like the Rolex. I wear it every day and it keeps great time. The only down fall is the watch band clasp is a little light and feels somewhat cheap... Other than that I love this watch..

They tend to be hit or miss. You can't beat the quality for the price, but they seem to put a lot of work into the cases and bracelets and even packaging, but cheapo automatic movements.

My son absolutely went nuts over this watch. At age 13, he is a budding Michael J. Fox on Family ties. This, along with a nice Waterford mechanical pencil sent him over the moon. So far there haven't been any problems with the workmanship.

Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch #8926:
I purchased this watch in November 2007, only 3 months ago. Shortly after purchase it started losing time. Then the stem to wind the watch/change the time malfunctioned and only occasionally works when turned counterclockwise. Also the date cannot be changed. And to top it off I no longer have my receipt; my fault, I know, so cannot return this defective piece. I will not buy anything but books or music from Amazon from now on. I highly recommend anyone really think hard before purchasing this watch. And if you do, please make sure to hang on to all receipts and other paperwork.

I own a collection of watches, all of them electronic with the exception of my Omega Speedmaster which has a winding mechanism. I wanted to own an automatic one to make my collection complete but didn't want to spend big. The Invicta Men's Pro Diver, model 8926, proved to be a very successful purchase in that this watch is reliable, with beautiful / aesthetic sportive design at a very reasonable price. It is indeed an excellent value for money.

So far I have been impressed with this watch overall. The only negative thing I can say about it, is it's an automatic/Kinetic watch and the amount of time you can leave it sitting before it stops is not as long as I had hoped. I believe it's look-a-likes, the Omega Seamaster and Rolex Submariner have longer run times. But for the price I don't think you can beat this watch. It looks like a much more expensive watch. It has a heavy, solid feel just the Seamaster and the Submariner, but at 1/15 of the price.

The only thing worse than this watch was the customer service I received. I sent in the watch for repair when it stopped telling the correct time. The watch was returned to me, but it still couldn't keep time. Also, the company's Web site made it impossible to track the status of my repair. When I finally did a company rep on the phone, she sounded as if she had just woken from a coma. I wrote the company a letter explaining my troubles, I received no reply. This is one of the worst outfits I've ever dealt with. And the watch still doesn't work.
I hate automatic watches now!

If you don't wear the watch every day, it'll die on you after about a week of not wearing it. I know this is the nature of the automatic watch but was not aware that it was so annoying.

I bought automatic 8926 model watch in march 07. In may it stopped working. I thought it may need keying. I did it and it started. It worked for another 2 days and stopped again. I was wearing the watch all the time. At this time I thought I should return the watch. I tapped on the dial and it started working again. I am tired of doing that. I can not trust the time given by this watch. I would suggest to go and buy Timex. Do not spent a penny on this. It is just big name with no quality.

It looks good, thats just about it!
The watch itself feels like kid toys made in china that is going to fall apart anytime soon.
The band feels like a cheap hollow tin can.
When I read some positive amazon reviewers, they all says how heavy it is. but its way lighter compare to my cheap casio watch.
It looks good because its rolex wanna-be, and thats about what you get for $90......Rolex looks.
This will likely be my last invicta (who?) purchase.....Thanks Amazon for your fast shipping.

I opened the box and said, "Wow" this is a beautiful watch. Too beautiful to wear actually. Finally after several months passed I put it on my wrist, gave it the intial wind up to get going and took a four mile walk, gently swinging my arms as I walked. The watch second hand stopped about every fifteen minutes and I had to shake it to get it going again. Despite walking four miles it failed to wind the spring automatically and would only run for a minute or two tops before it stopped.
Now I have to mail it to Invicta with a twenty five dollar check for return postage and handling plus the cost of mailing it to them!
Maybe, I just had a lemon but I urge you to wear it the day you get it to use the Amazon warranty and keep in mind that Beauty is only skin deep even if it's stainless steel! The one star is for being beautiful.
Updated 12/07/07
I mailed the watch to Invicta for repair and waited almost twelve weeks for it to be returned. After the first seven weeks I called Invicta to check on the repair status. They said it had to be mailed overseas for repairs and would take longer before it was returned to me.
Yes, I now have the watch and it actually works. I purchased an auto watch winder and have left it on the autowinder since I received it. It has been running just fine and keeps accurate time.
I will now wear it on my wrist and see if it holds up to daily use. The moral of the story is that while the watch is beautiful it is in reality just costume jewelery and not a serious time piece.
I have increased the rating to THREE STARS but be prepared to be dissapointed if you want a serious time piece.
Updated 12/21/07
Well, I have worn the Invicta on my wrist daily for two weeks and it has kept very accurate time and there have been no problems. This is my conclusion. I love the appearance of the watch and the price was very affordable. I now agree with all the reviews that rave about the watch. You may be one of the lucky ones and get an Invicta that works right out of the box. I blame myself for not wearing it during the 30 day return period intially.
I can now raise to rating to FOUR STARS for satisfaction and value but only if you are one of the lucky ones not to be shipped a lemon watch, even then the stellar Amazon service will exchange it during the 30 day exchange window.

My Invicta Model 2876 watch, a gift my girlfriend bought for my birthday was EXTREMELY disappointing. The problems, which existed since I received the watch:
br /
br /1. It lost between 5 minutes and 30 minutes every 24 hours. I had to reset it each morning.
br /2. The date hand never moved. It was stuck where it was when I opened its box.
br /3. The "quick-set" button "A" that was supposed to change the date did not function in any way. It was stuck in a pushed-in position when I received the watch in its packaging. I managed to unstick it, but then it didn't make the date hand move, nor did it function in any other way.
br /
br /I had to pay Invicta $20 to have it fixed.
br /
br /The card the company sent me to confirm that it had been received left instructions on how to check the status of repairs online that were totally inconsistent with the site itself. I had to figure that out on my own.
br /
br /The watch took more than 6 weeks for Invicta to fix.
br /
br /Invicta shipped the watch back to me, and UPS delivered it while I was out of town to someone I don't know in my apartment building. This person, presumably, is still in possession of the watch and has stolen it from me. Granted this isn't Invicta's fault per se, except in so far as they sold my girlfriend a piece of garbage that we had to return in the first place.
br /
br /So I'm out $20, my girlfriend's out hundreds, and we've got nothing to show for it. We would have had more fun burning dollar bills.
br /
br /Invicta is a garbage company that has garbage service and sells garbage products. The whole experience has not just turned me off as far as Invicta goes, but has turned me off on the WHOLE IDEA OF OWNING A WATCH in the first place, which I had decided to return to after years of relying on my cell phone to tell time. That's what I'll keep doing.
br /
