Description:

Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles, the stylish Timex Perpetual Calendar men's stainless steel watch (model 45441) has a robust appearance that will live up to the demands of the harshest elements. The silver stainless steel watch case features a flattened, brushed silver bezel that frames a classic white dial with full Arabic numeral display in black. It also offers large luminous hands (with red seconds hand), day window at 3 o'clock, and Perpetual Calendar date window at 6 o'clock. Other features include a water resistant brown leather strap (with black contrast stitching) and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet). p The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. p This Perpetual Calendar watch accurately keeps track of how many days are in each month, and even adjusts for leap years. The date on this watch (including the month and year) was preset at the factory to Eastern Standard Time. Simply adjust the time on the watch to your time zone, and forget about it. Featuring a seven-year battery life, this watch will keep on ticking with now worries. Timex even offers a free replacement battery (shipping and handling applies--information provided with included booklet).

I'm very pleased with this watch. It's quiet. The numbers (1-12) are large and easy to read with a quick glance. The perpetual calendar is very nice. My old watch didn't have it and I don't know how many times I forgot to wind it past the 31st of a month with only 30 days. This one takes care of it for me. At a minute or two past midnight on the first day of a new month the date advances right past 29, 30, and 31 whatever the case may be and stops at 1.

br /I do have a couple of minor complaints that kept it from getting five stars:
br /
br /1. The words "Timex Expedition" and "Perpetual Calendar" which appear to be on the face of the watch in the picture are actually on the underside of the crystal. That takes some getting used to. Especially when they cast shadows down onto the face in the right light.
br /
br /2. The day of the week isn't tied into the motor that advances the perpetual calendar. So even though the calendar advances to the next day just after midnight, the day of the week doesn't advance until much later. It's close to 1 am before it starts to move on mine. Not a big deal since I'm asleep during that time, but still unfortunate.
br /
br /The manual that comes with the watch tells you to send it back to Timex when you need a new battery. They replace the battery for free and reset the time and calendar. However, there is a shipping charge. The manual doesn't have instructions for setting the perpetual calendar, but they are available under the online manuals section of the Timex website.

I got this watch recently and I really love it. It is simple and sweet and at the same time the big dial suits any man's hand! Looks sexy and also solves the purpose of time along with the perpetual calender. Over all a grt buy and no regrets whatsoever.

It is a Premium Timex. A Great watch for the discounted price. It is not a Seiko or Citizen. However, no complains when you get a $130 for just $40.
br /The only issue that I see developing is the leather strap's loops. The second loop may get very lose and gets unwind.
br /
br /As a bonus, Timex will do Free Battery for lifetime. The owner just pays shipping fees.
br /
br /Great Watch.

Exactly what I had in mind for a everyday watch. Easy to read (day or night). I would buy this exact same watch again.

A very sturdy, reliable, and aesthically pleasing time-piece. I've only had one Timex before but it was a digital with an ambient temperature readout. Analogs tend to do it for me more than digitals and it seems to be increasingly harder to find a day/date analog watch. Just a solid, all-around practical watch that is a joy to own.

A good watch but I needed a watch with a dark dial so that I see better
br /Having low vision I would have preferred that.
