I have owned several of these watches, currently have and are using two of them. I have abused them to no end and the only thing that seems to do them in is when the battery finally gives out. (I have had mixed luck with keeping them working AFTER replacing the battery. Could be the technical abilities on my end...) I am active outdoors and have worn my watch: horseback riding (daily), swimming, ran it through the wash cycle, dropped it, and struck the doorjamb with my wrist/watch face as I was walking through it. These watches are a classic style with Timex quality--this model truly "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" and I highly recommend it for anyone with an active lifestyle.

This watch is perfect for me.I like the twist and flex type band and only have had to reset the time for daylight savings. Easy to read and has even been in the swimming pool a couple times by accident with no problems.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas. He wanted a watch that was easy to read and had the date displayed as well. This watch was perfect for those needs. It also has a very nice thin wrist band.

I immediately noticed this watch because of its size style. I have fairly small wrists so it was perfect for me. It has a very comfortable leather strap and an easy to read dial which lights up with a push of the stem. A great watch for the money.

I bought this for my husband. He likes the large, easy to read numbers and says the expandable band is comfortable. A very nice watch at a reasonable price.

For the first 2 months I owned the watch it was flawless - kept perfect time and the Indiglow was VERY bright. This would have been its third full month of service. Somehow water entered the case, first appearing as condensation, and getting worse any time a came near water. Soon after the light shorted out. Then the band broke off. I wore this watch everywhere, including doing automotive repairs... I did not baby it. Would have been a great watch if it didn't leak. Band would have survived if I hadn't played with it so much when I was bored. If it had a screw down crown I would buy another one. (if you're looking for a screwdown crown check out the PXN021 by Pulsar)

This watch is perfect. Timex used to run an ad campaign for this watch when the Indiglo feature first came out; it read "It is what it is, are you?" That blurb has stayed in my mind since then and I must say that I love this watch. It's comfortable due to the expansion bracelet (old school) and never requires a trip to a jeweler to add/subtract links. It has a 10-year battery (again, no trips to the jeweler) and most importantly keeps excellent time. The best feature is the Indiglo setting which is the BEST feature ever when you're in a movie house or other dark setting. On sale for under $33 AND free shipping? Wow! Plainly simply, a great timepiece.

Great watch, huge numbers! I got it for my husband who has large wrists. The band is too tight for him, but that's easily replaced. Just know when you buy that if you don't want to purchase a larger band, you need to look at a different watch.

I have owned 7 or 8 of these wates over the years. They are accurate, dependable, comfortable, and relatively low cost. The hands/dial are easy to read in normal light conditions and the timex illuminating dial function makes reading hour, minute, and second very very easy in low/no light conditions and is minimally draining on the battery. The battery lasts quite a few years even with intermittent illuminating dial use. The case has durable enough waterproofing to withstand everyday showering, swimming, water sports, and lots of intermittent immersion in fast moving cold water. Many upscale watches with similar or even greater water resistant ratings don't perform as well as this model with regard to watertightness. Exemplary water resistance for the price aside the durability of the watch overall is dissapointing. The crystal resist scratches though is flush with the case and therefore takes lots of abuse and will scuff and scratch over time. The crown is utterly unprotected and very subect to damage, breakage, and simply popping off by catching on fabric, door jambs, desks, cubicle dividers, bedsheets, netting, and all manner of other items. Note that even if the crown is simply bent a few degrees the case is no longer waterproof. The bracelet will catch on many types of fabric potentially damaging the fabric and the bracelet which may become kinked, bent, or lose elasticity at certian links, that being said it is still wearable. I have a mid sized wrist and find the bracelet comfortable to loose, some friends with more substantial bone structure find it constricing and uncomfortable. I have stopped purchasing this watch and similar offerings by timex mainly due to crown breakage/ damage. If you are easy on your watches this may be an ok choice. A relative who is very easy on watches has owned this exact model or very similar offerings from Timex for as long as i can remember and they usually last him 6 or 7 years if not longer, they usually last me 6 or 8 months.

A simple-to-read, reliable watch. I bought one like this for my husband several years ago, and he has loved it, so I felt it was time for a new one, although the old one still works.

The watch is great. Its price is reasonable. It is beautiful, reliable and keeps accurate time. However, setting the day is a hassle. You have to keep rotating the hands until you get the correct day and time. Setting the date is easy. It is an easyreader watch and ideal for people who have difficulty reading. On the other hand, this watch is quite fragile and has to be protected from getting wet. The band is expandable and looks nice.

The inexpensive Timex watch, with date, and illumination is as it was advertised. The only thing I don't like is the stretch metal band that goes around my wrist. It takes, for me some getting used to.

damn your husband's wrists must be bigger than my thighs. didyou give up and just hang a clock around his neck? this is an updated version of a nice simple timex watch that i'd always wear. it generaly sustained about 8-12 months abuse before it cracked or the stem gave out. it was quite handsome with pleasing proportions and it was comfortable. now it's got a big bulbous frame with a band that's too large for my wrists. slow down with the cheeseburgers america, it's got the timex design department confused.
