I have owned *two* of these watches and wear daily. The first I wore for 4+ years. I did have to replace the strap after heavy use of this watch. Also, after 3 years, the Start/Stop button and the Mode/Pulse button eventually failed. I tried to repair the buttons but between the little springs and the tiny plastic parts it wasn't going to happen and I ended up wearing the watch for a few weeks without those buttons. (The contact still worked just fine!) I saw the same model at Wal-Mart and figured it was worth buying if it would last just as long. Well, I noticed about a month ago that the Stop/Start button is almost impossible to use now. I have only had the watch around a year. It's not worth it to me to send it back even if it's under warranty. I am looking at other Timex watches now and will probably buy one that has a slightly bigger face (not my preference) but that has side buttons instead of the top buttons. I don't think the top button design is very good since they have failed on me. Also, the indiglo on the first watch had grown very pale, but I don't know if this is normal or not.
br /
br /Other than the button issue, I would give the watch 4 or 4.5 stars. The face has a green-amber sheen (depends which direction the watch is facing) that makes it easier to read the LCD display. Some LCDs are hard to read in bright light (you know, how everything looks like 8s sometimes?) but it's not a problem with this watch. The modes include Timer, stopwatch, pulse, and alarm. Pulse gives basic directions right on the display and you press a button when you have counted 10 pulses; then it calculates your pulse. The timer intervals are 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, and 60 minutes - this can be good or bad depending upon your needs, but for the most part it's good because it allows the timer to be set quickly. The alarm chirps quickly when the time is half-up. The timer alarm and the regular alarm are not annoying and are at a good volume.
br /
br /If you don't mind having to replace the watch after regular use within 1 (unlucky) to 4+ years (slightly more lucky), then this may be a good basic watch. However, if you want something that will last 10+ years, better buy an Ironman (or a 1440?).

My Favorite Watch EVER!

I have had several of these watches, and I love them. Obviously they're totally reliable and offer features that I need and use everyday (it's my alarm clock!), but I like the look. I wear it every day, and I find that it's thin and sleek enough to pass as a woman's casual watch without that huge bulky sports look.
br /
br /I work in healthcare, so I need the military time and alarm features, and it needs to be readable in a crunch, and very very waterproof.
br /
br /These watches have never failed me ... unless I lose them or they are abjectly stolen by my daughters. sigh.

I'm buying one again

As the first reviewer described, I'm finally replacing my Timex Ladies Rush Sports Watch due to the Start-Stop button failing. But it's a good-looking basic sports watch with everything I need and a small enough face that I don't mind wearing it as my everyday watch. And it's lasted me at least 6 years, with a replacement battery or two and recently a replacement strap. (If the Indiglo's faded, I haven't noticed--still seems fine.) That seems reasonable for the price, so I'm replacing it with the same model.

Great all-purpose women's watch

I've had 5-6 of these watches and have never found anything better for an all-purpose sports watch. It has lighted dial, date, time, stopwatch, alarm, even pulse which I've never tried. The timer 1,3,5,10,15,20,25,30, 45,and 1hr is an especially great feature that few watches have anymore. It is water resistant. Mine has purple accents.
br /For yrs I used a similar Casio but they stopped making it. I despaired until I found this Timex.
br /Amazon has best price for this item that I've found.

I want to buy another one.

This watch appeals to me for the quick preset timers: l minute, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, and 60 minutes. I am not an athlete but I love its water resistance as a busy mother because I do not have to worry about ruining it in dishwater and I can wash off the band easily when grungy. The third aspect I appreciate is its small (feminine) size which is not typical for a sports (practical) watch. I wear mine every day of the year. I have varying luck with longevity. One watch I returned to Timex because I was dissatisfied with how long it lasted. They sent me a replacement which I now use that is at least [...] (with one band replacement). The indiglo readout at night is faded to the point that I can't read it so am going to replace it with another just like it now.

I'd give it 100 if I could

BUY IT UP IMMEDIATELY.
br /I'VE PURCHASED 5 in case I lose or damage my watch, because I wouldn't even want to go through one day without it, it improves the quality of my life so much. And I'm dependent on it.
br /I came upon this watch about 10 years ago. For a while it was available in a number of styles. I had had digital watches before whose features were so complicated for me that I was always messing them up. This watch was advertised as the "Easy as Pie" watch.
br /And it lives up to its name and more.
br /It gives me everything I want and nothing more. The pulse reading feature is the only one I don't use repeatedly on a daily basis.
br /The TIMER feature allows you very quickly to set off an alarm for 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. I'm going to the trouble to list all the options because it's so incredibly convenient. I set it so that I won't arrive late, so that I'll remember things that I need to check on, so I can get the kids to do work or whatever for a specific period of time(they really like it) or so I'll do a certain kind of exercise for a given length of time. And for a million other things.
br /STOPWATCH is tons of fun for me, as an athlete, and also fun for the kids.
br /I don't only use the ALARM to wake up,but to mark other important times of my day. It goes off once(and it's pleasantly quiet and doesn't last for an annoying length of time), then five minutes later if you didn't
br /punch the button the first time.
br /Shows the DATE and displays whether or not the alarm is set at all times.
br /It also has a 24 hour option, which I always use. Then there's no chance that I'll set my alarm for 7:00 PM, rather than 7:00 AM, which used to happen to me when I had other digital clocks.
br /I'm surprised that not everyone has given it 5 stars. Perhaps they wanted more features. That's the last thing that I wanted. Sports watches are getting more complicated all the time. And bigger. This watch is very sleek for a sport watch.
br /BUY IT!
br /At this price, you can buy it to try it out and give it as a present if you wanted something else.

I love this watch!

Timex rush never lets me down! I will only wear this type of watch. I literally refuse to wear any other kind! I'm a sailor, so when you're out in the middle of the bay, it's useful to know what time it is! Also, the stopwatch mode is helpful for timing myself when I'm training for a regatta. I looooooooooove this watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
